Head of the international vaccine group Gavi, Seth Berkley, and the CEO of Moderna Stéphane Bancel, have addressed the World Economic Forum at Davos and have made fresh statements about online platforms allowing what they see as vaccine misinformation.

Moderna CEO Bancel complained about the amount of scientific and political debate taking place in the media, saying the US was one of the “worst.”

Sasha Vakulina, the business editor at Euronews, who was moderating the panel prompted Bancel: “The extent of this misinformation when it came when it comes to vaccination, I think has as somebody who works in the media, I mean, that was just overwhelming to see all of that across all the channels, right?”

“Yes,” Bancel replied, “and I exactly agree with panelists, which is, I think, in some countries, you know, you saw scientific debate in national TV at prime time, so you can imagine how people were scared. You know, vendors have said in a lot of political debate in some countries, and the US was kind of maybe one of the worst place in the world.”

Bancel contrasted this with countries where no debate was allowed: “And you saw the differences of countries where all the parties would say, you know, this has been approved by the regulators, clinical studies have been done, you should get your…vaccines, and so on.”

Bancel described social media as being “terrible, just terrible” and said, “you could see some countries where you had scientific debate and political debate and social media – if you had those three things; a vaccine rate very, very low.”

Berkley, CEO of vaccine promotion group Gavi, also weighed in about how social media prevented them from using their usual trusted sources as people could look up alternative information:

“It was amazing the amount of misinformation that was there, and that information then went straight to the rest of the world. And so all of a sudden, you have the way we normally deal with misinformation is we get the local chief, the local religious leader, the local healthcare workers who are trusted, but all of a sudden they’re like, but look at what’s going on in Germany or in the US or in other places, and here’s what I’m getting in my social media, and that has been a real problem. So the trust goes even broader. We don’t trust the institutions. We have misinformation, and it’s getting worse, not better.”

These people cannot stand that others are free to speak about them how they want to.

Sounds like a group of people who travel around, kidnap children, rape them, and sell their organs online for bitcoin.

The peasants are noticing patterns with their eyes, and not believing what they're told... we can't have that.

Bread and circuses only work, if your plan doesn't cause the athletic circus clowns to have heart attacks or "suddenly" drop dead.

No, you have a trust issue. And while most Americans are illiterate about history (I'll admit I'm one); people do know about the syphilis experiments. There was also once vaccine that wasn't properly tested, and children were being born with under/malformed appendages. I'm also aware of Ignaz Semmelweiss who was maligned so hard by the medical community, he was committed to an asylum... his crime was advocating for washing your hands... that the "medical community" didn't trust. So you rush this "brand new" and "untested" vaccine, saying it's safe, while also doing what you can to hide any information for 70+ years... and you're crying that people don't fucking trust you. Gimme $100,000,000 no questions asked, and I'll consider you serious.

Or have the bread replaced with bugs. And the attractive performers replaced with ugly landwhales. Or how an awful lot of 'right wing conspiracies' are coming true.

The pitchforks and fire is coming for the lords.

Remember, the White House (especially the Biden administration) pressured Twitter to deplatform and silence those who raised doubts or were sceptic of the vaccine's efficacy and safety. Doctors who criticized the lack of test data and human ethics by the government encouraging vaccinating children with a barely-tested vaccine had their medical licenses threatened.

In September 28, 2022 during a WEF "disinformation panel", the UN global communications rep Melissa Fleming stated outright that they partnered with Google, trained scientists and doctors on TikTok, and deployed influencers to sway public opinion because the public trusted those people more than they did the UN. The UN and WEF has spent a lot of time and money trying to control the narrative, funding media pieces. I don't doubt that Moderna might have been giving tips on what to say.

Moderna has a lot riding on Covid vaccines, given that it's their only viable product they have on the public market. During the Davos meeting a day or two earlier, Bancel himself revealed that the company is planning on building another 4 facilities and later having factories [making vaccines based on its messenger RNA technology] on every continent. Moderna has a lot riding on Covid vaccine production needing to be produced continually, and it will be damned if health and ethics get in the way of its profits.

I joke that Moderna's continental plans surely can't mean Antarctica, but given how the media is shitting bricks that there's outbreaks in Antarctica, I'm not holding my breath.

"These debates should not happen in public, only behind closed doors with everyone publicly saying the same agreed upon message. Anyway, the real problem here is that people do not trust the institutions."

The implication here is absolutely insane. This has to be taken out of context.
I don't think it is, this is just how people like this talk when they take the mask off. And they're comfortable doing so at Davos. They either aren't used to everyone suddenly being interested in what they have to say, or don't care for one of not too many reasons, none of which reflect very well on the speakers.

They also have a very important bit of plausible deniability: "we're just talking about ideas, maaaaaan".

No seriously, that's their defense for basically all of their bizarre shit and they technically aren't wrong...until you are snapped out of your reverie by the fact that it's only the most influential and powerful people in the WORLD all "just talking about ideas, maaaaan".

In a pre 2012 world we'd have James Bond tier CIA operatives infiltrating these meetings, planting agents in their circles, and mounting massive cases against people.

Fucking mayans.

I refuse to believe that this isn't happening now, I know feds/retired feds and they're good people. I know there's bad ones, but even the bad ones have to want to prioritize the country's interests for their own children/family's sake.
The problem being, you would need a full branch of military to get anything done. The security at those places are tighter than the 12 year olds they have tied up in the basement, and trying anything inside that place would get you ventilated and disappeared. It'd be more efficient to just bomb, artillery, burn the place down, and shoot anyone who makes it outside the doors.
