I told you the EU were going to force EU internet users to have to resort to VPNs and Tor to access American social media, just like the Russians are now having to use Tor and VPNs to access Western social media and websites. The difference being that Russia is a country at war, so I guess this means the EU is at war with... reality itself I suppose. Yesterday, Twitter Emperors 'Starship - Booster 7' did a static firing of 11 of it's 33 rocket engines. This is only 33% of the rockets total power. Many are saying this is the most innovation they've seen in the space launch sector in decades.

Musk could just tell the EU to go fuck themselves. What are they going to do? Block Twitter in Europe? Too many European politicians and journalists depend on Twitter for spin and engagement, and it'll be so easy for media to highlight that this is basically censorship akin to China/NK/Russia that the citizens will be pissed off about it too.

It cannot demand specific content moderation practices from a corporation. It cannot demand any of that.
All the EU can do is demand data from users that engage in illegal practices, which depending on the country, yes, it might mean anti-Semitism and overt Nazism.
But it cannot demand that Twitter moderates according with some nebulous EU think tank suggested practices, and it cannot drive Twitter out of EU, as it did nothing illegal.
You can access GAB and Dailystormer and more from most of the EU.
All of this might be just some buildup for some further EU anti-speech action, and I will be really mad if that's gonna happen, even though I am not affected as I am using a VPN.
The moment the shitty war on our borders stops, it's knives out for this absolutely monstrous, undemocratic, unelected bunch of horrific elites.

The problem, as well, is that compromising for the EU, which is such a huge block, means major websites may just incorporate the EU-level new standard globally because it's easier and more restrictive policies are still compliant in the US anyway, and if enough of that happens it potentially makes it easier for American rights to be eroded by the back door too (see the trans lobbying tactics in the UK (archive) for a similar attempt at normalising something before trying to make it law). America has by far and away the best free speech laws in the world and we'll all suffer, globally, if those get chipped away.
