Musk/Twitter Sperging

About that…

No one is really expecting Elon Musk to "save Twitter." Twitter is something that can never be saved. What they are expecting is him to push Twitter's shit in for the lulz, which is currently what is happening with them trying to take a poison pill instead of making their own shareholders into Monopoly Guy/Scrooge McDuck rich. Does that make sense to you if this was a normal business transaction? "No, I don't want our shareholders to all be rich beyond their wildest dreams, we'd rather have them eat shit and die." This is a political/culture war fight, and it's progressing like one just like how Disney just jumped on a landmine instead of choosing neutrality.

Currently, it's more likely than not we will see a scenario in which Musk wins and the SJWs throw a humongous hissy fit and walk out in protest to some other shitty platform that will never have as much influence. I don't think anyone is expecting Twitter to suddenly have fair discourse and become the intellectual marketplace for the rational exchange of ideas. I'm all for Peter Thiel-ing the thing into the ground, because it's done more than enough damage to the world already.
