My wife and I have been trying to convince my mother, who we rent from and help take care of her, to allow us to get a puppy ever since we had to put our other dog Apollo down. Up until now she was adamant about not letting us get one. But now she's relented and is allowing us to get a puppy. I think it's because she's getting married and has changed her opinion on many things.

I'll post pics as soon as we get her, which will probably be tomorrow. I'm so bloody excited I can barely contain myself!

I'm thinking of getting a tortoise.

Well, have fun with it. My chihuahua's a little shit, but I love her.
 
*gasp!* That muzzle is just begging to be scrubby-wubby-wubbed* wit' so much wuv, yes it is, yes it--ahem, uh, congrats!

* I rub my cat's nose with my finger and thumb. She's the only cat I've had that I've tried this on. She loves it; she'll open her mouth to show off her teeth like she's smiling. :3

It's not a chihuahua. It's a Boston Terrier/Pug cross. Her father is an AKC Boston Terrier and her mom Is supposed to be a purebred Pug, but she may have a little something else in her according to there people selling her.

Tell whoever sold it to you it looks like a chihuahua, what with the ears and head and nose and such. Or maybe I can't tell if I haven't seen the side of it yet (or seen it standing up for that matter).

We haven't bought her yet. In fact the lady selling her won't return any of my messages.
 
Looks like the flaked out on us, but I found a purebred Pug female puppy for the same price and we're going to go see her tomorrow and probably buy her.

That sucks, it looked like a cute dog. But as well as you are obtaining dog, all is good with me.

Yup. There are the Pugs and then there are some Schnauzer/chihuahua mix puppies that my wife really likes.

I couldn't decide if I wanted a labrador or a golden when I had my own place (parents hate pets, student houses don't allow dogs), but then I remembered that flat-coated retrievers exist. Pretty much black labs with golden's fluffy fur, although I've heard they have a much different temperament. Might have to pass it up though, since I'm not an active person.
Other dogs I always liked were shibas, huskies, and (although nowhere near as much as my friend, he's obsessed with them) corgis!

I'd love a big dog, but the dog is mostly for my wife so she gets to pick it, and my mother has given us a size limit.

Here's the little puggies we get to chose from. We go get ours at noon.



For some damn reason the images are sideways and it won't let me fix them.
