Created by Greg Garcia, the sitcom My Name is Earl revolves around a small time thief named Earl Hickey that discovered the concept of karma after losing an $100,000 lottery ticket from stolen money and being hit by a bus. I believed it lasted five seasons before abruptly ending on a cliffhanger thanks to NBC's indecision.

I started watching it again after seeing recommendations of it on YouTube. Good show that can tug on the heartstrings if you could get pass the obvious writing gags. I think Garcia also made a show called Raising Hope.

It's annoying that the show never got a proper ending.
It sorta did from Raising Hope.

Garcia wanted My Name is Earl to end by having Earl stuck on a list item, but then he meets somebody that made their own karma list thanks to Earl. Once he realized he put more good than bad, he rips up his list in peace.

Beautiful.

I found his brother incredibly annoying because I worked with someone like him, although even more stupid.

Little Chubby was the best character, no contest. Norm sure knows how to play some real douchebags. Also that episode were a guy kept reliving the same day over and over again because of his brain damage was some terrifying shit.

that would have been a garbage ending. the list wasn't that long, he should have just ended it with completing the list.
it had like 200 items and the show before had earl have for example his friends cross off items he never did. hell he gave himself an item to never ever cross off, so this ending is perfectly fitting. the entire list concept is fake anyway, it's not like they devised a list and then had to follow it, they made up items when they went along. just finishing the last item is an anti-climax, plus the whole point of the show is about becoming a better person not being able to finish a list. that ending would've been perfect
the show itself was sort of shit, the first two seasons were great, but season three was the jail and coma arc and like every other show it got fucked by the writers strike. season four isn't much better. they really lean too hard on Joy who was the breakout star of the show. Camden just gets whackier with each season in a way that gets ridiculous in the last season. i doubt season 5 would have been that good
this i agree with, the show was always picking up this kooky extended cast all through the show and i like the status quo shakeups, but it feels a lot like smiling friends where they think theyre better than the initial premise
Great show, Joy was so hot, but such a bitch. Randy was funny and I think the actor lost a bunch of weight and is buff now.
Jaime completely transformed looks wise in the 2000s but just became a different kind of hot. Also if they ever brought Earl back just having Randy be randomly buff would honestly work as a gag, Feels like something they would've done back in the show's heyday
