Cosmo posted a weird video (jeez it must be a day ending in Y) where he says he wants less accountability for his words. So basically he wants to be able to be as toxic, hateful and downright insane as he wants to in various forms of media and yet wants the Internet to not be able to comment / criticize him? Yep, that sounds like Cosmo all right!

Cosmo already has the freedom to say whatever nonsense he wants. At worst, he is ignored.
The more likely situation is that his parents finally realized just how much of a lunatic he has become, and threatened to limit his internet usage if he doesn't stop with the doomposting.

I think he just wants to be an asshole. People like Cosmo don't have any sort of politics besides whatever will benefit themselves the most. Some of it won't jive with the current zeitgeist and people would be upset, and that might even be the point, but I doubt he has any cohesive political beliefs. He doesn't want to make things better for one group or another. Cosmo just wants to be able to lash out without people calling him an asshole and shutting him down.
So Cosmo's Mom Liz Dennis and her alleged husband Phil both follow someone named Gregory Wright on Twitter, and he follows them both as well. I'm thinking that either a) he is Cosmo's real dad and he and Liz divorced / broke up at some point and Cosmo kept his name then Liz married Phil, or b) he is Liz's father and for any number of reasons Cosmo was given / took her maiden name when he was born. Could be she wasnt married to the father yet or a host of reasons. Here is Gregory Wright's twitter:

I sort of feel sorry for Cosmo after seeing what a trainwreck is mother is on Twitter. His childhood must have been utterly miserable.
His mom is a opiate addict, chronic pain, doctor shopping BPD narcissist who thinks she has done everything for everybody and has been screwed over by everyone in return. In fact she’s just a mentally unstable loon who has spent her life laying around playing the victim. She’s in 24/7 woe is me mode.
She’s also super pissed her doctors cut down her pill supply. I can’t imagine what it’s like dealing with mommy constantly throwing tantrums because she needs “moar pills.”
She keeps referring to herself as a “housewife” so is she still married? The housewife schtick also means she can’t hold a job because there’s been no dependent kids in her home for a long time. This means she’s just laid around for decades eating pills and feeling sorry for herself. She also complains about being broke so the fact she remains a “housewife” shows an huge entitlement complex. She obviously is bitter that being a munchie pillhead isn’t a paid position.
I bet when Cosmo was five if he so much as looked at her wrong or didn’t pick up his clothes she melted down and accused him of trying to kill her.
No wonder he’s such a wreck. Nobody comes out okay being raised by a “mommy dearest” like that. I’m sure speed running was a compulsive escape he needed to survive.
Is there any hope his dad was more stable? No way anyone has managed to stay married to the mom for very long unless they are equally as fucked in the head.
Moving back into his parents home was sealing his tomb. He would have been better off killing himself or moving to a homeless shelter than returning to his mom’s house. What a pair they must make.
ETA: According to tweet where mom is asking for basic universal income they are a household of three living on $16k a year. Holy shit, not one single person in that house has a job. It’s 100% gibs. She never stops whining about being poor and not getting enough pills. Apex white trash.

$16k a year sounds tough but manageable for a single person in their early twenties fresh out of college barely scraping through their first internship’s wages. But a family of three where the youngest is early thirties!? How do they fuck shit up this bad yet still have electronics to access twitter to whine about universal income when none of them are bothering to contribute to society despite all being able and working age?
I dunno what cost of living in US is compared to UK, but no way you could support a family of 3 on 16k over here - that would be your rent/mortgage alone.

$16k implies someone receives SSI in the household - it’s basically the federal govt welfare program for people with disabilities who can’t work and who have never held a job. People with autism, retards, severe depression, schizophrenia, etc…get SSI. The mothers constant whining about chronic pain and more pills makes me think she’s on it.
The deal is only making $16k annually they also qualify for other programs like section 8 housing (govt subsidizes almost all of their housing costs), they get Medicaid (free healthcare) and food stamps (given the household size they probably get $700 a month for groceries).
So think of the $16k as what they get after the govt pays for all their real necessities. This is why they have devices and internet to whine on Twitter and bitterly sit around with their thumb up their ass all day. Also they live in a state with a low cost of living too.

Thanks, that clears it up completely. In that case she should be grateful for the 16k, they can be easily getting by for just surviving, which is all they need to do if they’re not useful in any capacity to the wider community. WTF is her need for more if everything a human needs has already been supplied for free.
Yah Cosmo has talked about being on gubment assistance before. He whined about losing his free insurance and free tranny meds because he was too lazy to get his mail and renew it. He went off on a tangent and blamed the government/society instead of himself. And then, when he got over $7k in one deposit from Patreon, he refused to report that to the agencie(s) becasue he knew he'd lose his bennies. And yah, Cosmo just bought a brand new PC computer and monitor that apparently is very fast at rendering so you might as well tell him you're welcome because if you pay taxes here, you bought it for him.

the hax-leffen situation has been running through my mind for days, for some reason i have felt it deeply.
i don't really have issue with either of them and i think they're both rather brilliant people.
to me it's sad to see hax dismissed outright despite him being so thorough and proving himself such a capable person.
i feel i share a few similarities with leffen, maybe this is why i became so fixated on the situation.
i think leffen "playing to win" fame and power for himself in a world full of grey area is interesting.
there's clearly a lot of pain between these two people and i'm sure leffen is reeling after all of this.
hax's exposé of leffen makes me ponder that an exposé of myself could probably be made, going way back to srl or earlier.
i think this is a larger story though about social dynamics in general, and how broken social media is. it is truly broken.
a lot of people don't seem mature enough to discuss the subject matter so they try to derail the whole thing on one point.
the situation with dream and the cheated minecraft speedrun makes me think about people living in their own bubble world.
i wonder if a lot of people wish to live in their own bubble world where they are always right.
i do feel that it's hard to speak freely in today's era. i hardly know what to do with all of my thoughts.
to me, that's a problem. taking what i think and feel and putting it into a tangible form feels of paramount importance.
whilst we are the sparkle of life, we should shine and be seen, and not buried under the weight of it all.
