I have long wondered this. Cosmo isn't working with a full deck so we can't really assume how he sees his own personal finances. I know he lives in a studio apartment in bumfuck nowhere Illinois since he couldn't afford Chicago anymore, and he at least has some form of a nest egg dating from his success as a streamer. But I can't see him putting away much per month. He doesn't have any school loans, car, or any other real debts so his expenses are fairly minimal. And you KNOW his ass don't go outside much. I'd say his savings are probably getting chipped away at, but nothing substantial given his, or should I say lack of, lifestyle.

A combination of Twitch subscribers, donations, his patreon, and most likely his parents. He has no friends, he seems to spend all day inside, from what he’s said he only really ever eats soylent and Chipotle, and his apartment looks really bare and undecorated. I doubt he spends much, so he’s probably able to live comfortably - if you can call it that.

He's never worked I believe, went to school for art I think but I don't remember if he finished. When he was dating Adrian, I know she was talked about how he saved a lot of money when streaming and only spent what was necessary.

The few things he did buy were donation goals on twitch. Like he raised 4k for a new PC at the time if I'm remembering correctly.

If anything at this point, I can't imagine he's making much or has much savings left.

I dont know that much about twitch streaming monetization/subs can get you but i doubt he's anywhere near reaching that 2k goal it really depends on how much he is getting but if his patreon was at 400/month excluding the twitch/ youtube money(and using my previous numbers) he would be out of money about now, as is he can probably bleed cash for another 8 months to a year using a conservative estimate, If nothing else he doesnt seem to be in any financial trouble at least for now which is all he cares about.

I thought about that but, the way he looks caused me to think otherwise. I mean wouldn't a Narcissist want to look, you know, good? Narcissa is repulsive. He could go out looking just like that to a Halloween party and win an award for scariest costume.

There’s a difference between being supportive of your child’s decision, and just being negligent. He’s an adult living on his own, but he’s not all there mentally; he needs help. There’s no way they haven’t seen his Twitch, Youtube or Twitter by now. To see your adult son go from a moderately-successful, content person to whatever he is now, I imagine it would be painful to witness. If they truly cared for him, they would have talked to him about getting help, and if he refuses to seek it out voluntarily, it would be in his best interest for them to try to commit him involuntarily. I’m sure that his streams have documented his descent into madness well enough that they could be used as proof to have him committed.

from what I've seen most of the troons seem normal to kind of depressed for a while but things tend to really go down hill after they lop off their dicks. Why do they try to convience others to do it? Is it that fabled saying "Misery loves company?"

I think its more complicated than that i think narcissa is a narcasist more in the way they only care about themselves than in the "im great and attractive in every way" kinda way. The whole going from liking something to hating it, becoming super impulsive in an effort to fix it that will obviously make things worse is something that i can empathise with because its something i do myself (this is the only reason i am ever clean shaven). I dont think its that they arent trying to look good its just the depression and the cocktail of drugs hes taking makes it really difficult to process things rationally, even without people trying to pander to him and telling him he looks great.

I don't think that the way he was pressing buttons on the controller was very healthy at all, and it probably ended up hurting him in the end. I can't find a video of just him pushing buttons during a speedrun but it's featured in one of the cringe montages of him, side by side with him complaining about wrist problems:

My first exposure to Cosmo Wright was when he was featured on the Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin podcast a number of years back, where he was a guest talking about his speedruns to a layman audience. He seemed to have things reasonably together (mentally) at that point, and I remember watching a few of his speedruns and was fairly impressed. Fast forward to now, I see this thread and had no idea that shit had gone seriously downhill since I last heard of him (/her).

I mean when Narcissawas Cosmo and was speedrunning consistently with huge streams. he was honestly quite well put together. It seemed like mentally he had his issues like everyone but he seemed more confident and way more likeable.
