It was almost definitely smashed. These BOTW guys put in work. There's already a case for playing through the run before even getting the paraglider with a fall damage cancel paired with stamina bullshit.

after a few mins searching he did have the record in All main quests which is a side category not many people run but that time was beaten and the new record is about 4 mins faster which had a bunch of mistakes in it so his time was beaten within a week so he probably wont ever hold any record for a long amount of time unless they go for 100%.

Yeah. With newer games, records are constantly getting smashed because new exploits are found almost daily. Kinks are ironed out and new routes are formed. You're pretty much just paving the way for a newer, faster run until major skips have been found and it settles down a bit.
If Crypt Keeper is playing constantly and learning new skips, he could at least stay in the top 5, but I have a feeling he got his WR and then sat there going "I did it, I'm your Speed Goddess" until someone killed a boss faster.

Narcissa's run was for THIS category ("All Main Quests"). I don't remember what her time was but looking at the leaderboards with the latest record being logged as recently as six days ago it's a safe bet that she lost the record almost as quickly as she earned it. Zelda games are pretty cutthroat among runners, her record was only "newsworthy" in the usual outlets because "omg trans".

I think the fact that somebody thought "speedrunner" was a worthwhile label might be funnier than anything Cosmo has ever done.

Seriously, could you live with yourself if the best description of yourself was "dude who tries to play videogames quickly"?
