Narcissa has that backwards. If people had to put forward their real identities in order to criticize anything on the Internet, that would INCREASE the amount of abuse, bullying, harassment, stalking, etc. Look at how much fans of anything dogpile on anyone daring to say something negative in the slightest about their obsession. How many critics of any form of media have received death threats for not giving a 10/10 rating to something a fanboy/fangirl fixates on? Far too many.

What Narcissa and many other lolcows need to learn is that if you put yourself out there on the Internet--especially if you reveal any personal information about yourself--you're opening yourself up to criticism. Not everyone is going to like you. Hell, a lot of people seem to get off on spreading negativity. May not be right, or fair, or nice... but it's going to happen. If you don't want to deal with it, don't put your personal life out in public for all to see in the first place.

I'm guessing with cosmo a lot of his weens are just people saying stuff like "bring cosmo back" in his chat, since Twitch streamers get angry over their own chatbox. I haven't heard of him being trolled to even remotely near the level of say, Ice Poseidon (who had a fake bomb threat called on his plane along with more swatting attempts than you can bat an eye at) or even some random Twitch streamer who gets swatted/pizza'd.

I'd put my money on random spergs from the speedrunning community giving Cosmo shit for how far he's let himself go. These days many lolcows don't even know how their threads affect them but they just know it's there and people are still talking shit about them. If Kiwi Farms wasn't here then he'd still be a point of discussion in the speedrunning community where people have probably more relevant info and personal stories to drop. Last I checked Kiwi Farms content on Cosmos was either brought in from speedrunning fans or straight from Cosmo's own twitch streams and twitter.
