One of the few triggers for him trooning out is because he has some kind of nerve damage in his hands, he couldn't really speedrun anymore. I think he's getting back into it slowly but that's as irrelevant as he is now.

That happened a long time ago. Dude's completely irrelevant as a speedrunner precisely because of this. Oh and because "muh hands".

I mean the fact that the guy had to make up his own BotW category (that no one really played or acknowledged) in order to feel good about himself says everything. What's better though is that he even lost 1st place in that category.

I know that MMOs players have gotten Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by playing it as a hobby in the craze days, but there's a difference between addicted to a hobby and needing your wrists for your own livelihood and losing it because you're too much of a fuck up

Sigvald's a character from the Warhammer Fantasy universe. He's the champion of the Chaos God of Desire and Excesses, Slaanesh. All the champions of Chaos bear some kind of disfigurement or curse from their patron that is the source of their power, and which are generally ironic: Sigvald's is that he can never, ever refuse to act on some impulse or desire that strikes him. He often stops during battles to preen over his reflection in a shield, lick his blade clean of bodily fluids, or to recite some awfully-composed poem of his, and has a reputation for abandoning battles for inane reasons that makes him ill-loved by the other servants of the Dark Gods (in one case, he abandoned an invasion that was going successfully because the bloodstains on the ground reminded him of a particularly bad bottle of wine he once had, and quit the field to track down the vineyard responsible and burn it to the ground). I feel this is a summary of Cosmo's life: zero impulse control.

I'm still convinced they're not the same person period. Something killed Cosmo and is wearing his skin like a suit. Something not human.

Saw Narco's latest videos whining about this place yet again because someone called her a 'trendhopper' (protip: it annoys you because it's completely true). Saying she was 'on the ground floor' as an autist by playing super smash brothers in 2005. Having autistic pursuits before it became acceptable does not make you a visionary rofl. When the FUCK did playing video games all day become anything other than a way of signaling to your mother 'no grandchildren for you'? Nobody gives a fuck about playing a nintendo game in 2005. Something that involves no creativity which practically anyone can do. Except most of those people who became good moved on with their lives. Cosmo was someone who did pretty tricks and gave people a nostalgia rush. That's the full extent of Narcissa's relevance to the wider internet - as an entertainer no more profound than a game show host. It isn't art, it's entertainment. You stopped providing good entertainment and people stopped watching. Everyone isn't behind the curve. Nobody is behind you about to catch up. You are going to have to get a job real soon and eventually it is going to sink in what you need to do to rebuild a following - cater to somebody else's wishes. That's what the rest of the world does for the majority of their waking hours every weekday. It will be a hard lesson but the process will make you grow up at last.

We are wage slaves but you are a slave to your own delusions. That's a far worse fate.

While I can see where you come from, I've seen Cosmo before the metamorphosis, and he wasn't that human looking before either.

To be fair, most speedrunners are pretty socially stunted and seem "off" in some way. So by the standards of other runners Cosmo looked relatively normal by comparison. If anything, Cosmo's story is a cautionary one about not underestimating the craziness of the quiet, socially awkward types.

The likes to dislikes ratio on videos of speed runs done by trans runners is still a little egregious. I mean if it’s an enjoyable and well done run I really could care less who the runner is. Case in point on the video of a Superman 64 run at the latest AGDQ the runner was trans and said absolutely nothing really and the couch just did commentary and the video was destroyed by the community. I do think there are still some bias in place.

With the Superman 64 run, It doesnt really matter that the runner didnt really speak much their transness was still being pushed constantly during the run with spikevegeta changing his speech patterns to only use female pronouns which was at least personally incredibly jarring when i have only ever heard him use we to describe things that are going to happen, just throwing in a few gender neutral pronouns would of made it feel way more natural. It just came off as either: A they were heavily pandering to the runners desires, B terrified of saying anything that offended anyone or C both of the above.
