Somebody mentioned a few days ago that they believed Cosmo showed a lot of signs of being a terrible person when he was notable, but people ignored or tolerated them because he was good at what he did. I tend to agree with this, and I don't think the step from Cosmo to Narcissa was as large as it would have been if Cosmo were a normal person.

Cosmo was taking way more shit than weed. LSD, acid, shrooms, etc alter the mind much worse than weed.
Doesn't HRT have a dramatic effect on the endocrine system? I imagine combining that with mind-altering drugs leads a nuclear meltdown in your brain.

HRT doesn't alter the endocrine system itself too much, but rather forces it to do things that it really wasn't meant to do. Men make testosterone, and lots of it, and not much, if any estrogen. Pumping estrogen and T blockers into a man will cause an incredibly dramatic effect, which may alter mood, create feelings of tiredness, and increase irritability. All of which are exhibited by Cosmo here.

Think about it this way, Cosmo is injecting himself with a hormone he doesn't naturally produce in high ass doses to counter his testerone. It is not a myth that estrogen makes you emotional and volatile. Look at pregnant women who are producing almost twice their usual estrogen/progesterone - they cry at the drop of a pin.
It's fucked up. He's just fucking up his mental health even more and his body because 'muh feels I'm a real woman'.

Honestly, the more I look at Cosmo's case, the more I see a schizoaffective disorder brought about by misuse of narcotics and marijuana, which then, alongside some homosexual or bisexual urges, (painting nails before going troon, feminine mannerisms,) and probably the 'tism (speedrunner), caused him to fixate abnormally on his sex, thinking that it was 'wrong'. From there, turning troon and getting HRT created hormonal imbalances, causing further mood problems, irritability, tiredness, muscle atrophy, and a few more symptoms (possible osteoporosis, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, a lack of a sex drive, emotional instability, accumulation of body fat... the list is quite long and painful.)
Then the frustration over these symptoms, and the lack of being a woman, caused him to lash out more, accelerating his physiological and psychological decline. Getting humiliated in public by John Numbers was just one of a long line of things that caused an egotistical autist to tumble down. It wasn't likely the catalyst for the trooning, or even something major, but it is the event we associate with the fall.
Then the frustration over these symptoms, and the lack of being a woman, caused him to lash out more, accelerating his physiological and psychological decline. Men do indeed NEED and produce estrogen for their bone health and sexual function. Also the older a man gets the more estrogen he produces.
The problem is when you pump a male body full of estrogen. The proper hormone levels for trans people are also questionable.

Besides that one video he made as Cosmo where he played Mario 64 and shouted SIGLEMIC I haven't heard anything. Probably hurt Siglemic's manhood that a gross troon who was his friend had a crush on him.
