Cosmo's never going to come here and talk to us. We're making suggestions that require things like "effort" and "going outside." Plus we don't like all the lame-ass excuses he constantly makes.
He's done it in the past, multiple times. He just ignores all advice and tends to argue politics and tries to make things way more complicated than they need to be.

Sorry for :late:, I find it funny that Narcissa made exactly 1000 tweets on October 14th

Here is something that was posted on /r/samandtolki last December:

Ignoring the inner monologue warning you not to continue down the path, and justifying the ignorance (for lack of a better word) with the very thing poisoning you because it's "needed" for the new life.... It's like he knows what's causing his unhappiness and just won't act on it.

Your future is in your hands, Cosmo. It's not too late to go back, you still have the nub.

I don't know why, but every troon seems to think that striped knee high socks are more feminine than menstruation and childbirth combined. I've never seen or heard of actual girls who aren't cutesy obsessed massive weebs wearing those things.

So I think I have the beginnings of an explanation to this.

It comes down to it being a lower echelon/newly minted gay male thing. Striped socks and armwarmers are absolutely some part of the "femboy" culture of twinky gays in stripes. However, this does branch out to the new gays that maybe get into it in their early to late 20s. The men that want to give up being or just aren't sufficiently manly to present as "the gay man" want to present as the "soft twink boi" in a general sense. This can be personal preference, instead of a more lived in aesthetic (see: the vast majority of "successful" or "attractive" twinks being skinny, generally diminutive and girly while remaining obvious men or boys) which leads to those older or maybe less skinny gay guys thinking "I can be cute too!"

I'd wager it's definitely something to do with online twink culture in general, because if you come across any western twinky/femboy art produced digitally they almost always have striped socks or armwarmers. This goes for tumblr/deviantart brand normo twinkiness as well as furry twink/femboy stuff. It somehow coalesced into general femboy/twink aesthetic at some point, either through proliferation of said art or guys posting pics of themselves wearing them. It's a chicken or the egg, I honestly have no idea.

Then there's also the anime possibility, which for me is here or there because I'm not sure how much Japan likes to give twinks/femboys/traps striped socks or warmers

tl;dr: its a femboy/twink thing, it could be an anime thing, it's 100% an internet gay thing

I think striped socks/arm things were also present in 90s rave fashion
We need a fashion historian expert in here, I'm curious now

They definitely were, and they persisted in certain scenes for a while before exploding out as some kind of modern tranny phenomenon of sorts.
I'm not a historian or a fashion expert or anything, so I can't really go in depth or anything like that... I just happened to date a girl that wore them a decade + ago, so I have some memories there.

Kinda kills it for me now knowing they're some kind of tranny fashion accessory now instead of "cute emo/goth gf accessory" lol.

As for being an anime thing. The kneesocks aren't the thing. The obsession is with the exposed band of thigh flesh between the socks and the skirt.
They even have a name for it: "Zettai Ryouiki", the infinite horizon.

Anyway that stuff Cosmo said back then pretty much confirms that he really was just gay, and like a lot of autists, couldn't deal with it and trooned out.
Cosmo, please, just be a gay guy, NOBODY would give you shit for it. It's still not too late.

Its degenerate and exploitative as most of the targets of traps/trans (to convince them to join them) are not mentally stable, emotionally stable or weak. I'd argue that very few people who transition (in varying degrees) suffer from dysmorphia and Cosmo is not one. Probably a very weak gay twink

I find it kind of funny - although it has nothing to do with the modern occurrence - that knee-high striped socks are one of the core elements of a witch's appearance in Alemannic folklore since the 1930s.

So the first thing people in South Germany and Switzerland associate with those things are probably middle-aged men with wooden masks dressed as old hags.

I'm sure even Narzi knows that, I mean how he just has to start to act. But his psych is already a hot mess, he's gone too deep into the witches forest to change that. On the basis of empathy I can understand this contradiction, knowing there must be done something but the self inflicted circumstances made his bony ass stuck in this very scenario. There is this endless suffering, the longer he stays that way the more likely he things there is no way out, a doom loop fueled by self-pity, time, isolation, these fucking brain destroying chemical drinks, the dissonance with his own body and gender, and of course toxic "fans" who endorse this behavior.
Given, a healthy mind could fix itself to the point of at least leaving the building for a change. Imagine this breathing corpse in public, holy hell.

This is absolutely awful, a tragedy, a healthy socially capable young man with talents is gone. However, it was his decision from the very start, he could have done anything since then, so it doesn't feel bad when the concluding entertainment is enjoyable.

Setting aside the sheer insanity of making 1,000 tweets in 24 hours, those follower drops are something else. -714 in one day for an account with 30,000~ followers is exceptionally bad. Most of the accounts following him are long inactive because he's been using that account since 2010 (as Cosmo) so losing ~1,000 followers now represents an even worse decline than the raw numbers suggest.

I can tell you Black and white stripped tights were in back in the 1980s if you were into punk stuff. I remember girls in bands like Sonic Youth and siouxsie sioux sporting them. I think if you really loved the Cure you were required to own a pair.
So this led to the cool “alternative” girls of the late 80s and early 90’s wearing such stockings.

I always associated them with the psychedelic Alice in Wondeland aesthetic which probably goes back to the old folk and German clothes @plattschwanz talked about.
