Cosmo might just be that fucking incompetent, especially since he has been keeping himself busy hosting a speedrunning group locally and then after being let go from GDQ has posted about "power up with pride" (archive) which is advertised as a speedrunning charity event for LGBT+ runners only. I can't find a page that lists who runs that event or any information you'd expect to see on a credible charity event.

I find this hard to believe. When his funds started running low, he had his bank account balance on screen while streaming to manipulate his orbiters into feeling sorry for him and giving him money. It's not like he was going to the bank every day to check his balance, he was using online banking like everyone else in this day and age. You're telling me he didn't look at his deposit/withdrawal history in over a year? He never noticed that Patreon deposits weren't going through? That he wasn't counting down the days until his monthly deposit hits like everyone else? No fucking way. He's been bitching about his financial situation forever. I've unfortunately dated enough addicts to know that they aren't irresponsible, they are incredibly manipulative and make choices they are fully aware of, they are just choices that favor their addiction or obsession.

They will play dumb after the fact in order to keep their family/enablers on board.

Cosmo is so manipulative that it would take a lethal amount of meth to drown out that personality trait even a little.
