I know that Chris has touched many people from around the world, but I was wondering how many of you are/will be effected by the newest stage of Snowmageddon? I'm from Boston so I'm apparently going to be in the thick of it. I tried going out today for some last minute shopping since I had school off, but found that the trains and stores were all closing at or before 3.
Ah well. Anyway, it's been snowing all day and it's really pretty. Planning on using tomorrow to clean my room and be generally cozy.
So how do you feel about the snow? What are you going to do with your forced recluse mode? But most importantly, what do you all feel about the neverending barrage of Pixar references?

Better thee than me!

I've lived in Ohio all my life and I freakin' hate snow, and I really hate having to drive in the stuff when it's covering the road.

Someone I know from Alabama on Facebook posted a picture of what Southerners think of snow. I should've been born and raised down South, they have the same feelings about snow that I do.

Sure, it's pretty, but anything more than a light coating on the grass is annoying.

I live in the part of Australia where it never snows. :(

I'm near Philadelphia...it's not supposed to be too bad here. A few inches maybe.

Northern Australia, right?

I envy you never having to drive in snow. But I bet it gets really hot in the summer, and it is summer Down Under right now.

Central Australia. I really want to see snow though.

Holy crap. I'm in NY and we're getting slammed with sleet, ice, and HUGE snow flakes.
Good news: I didn't have to go to work and probably won't tomorrow either.
Bad news: I had to leave my boyfriend's house and it took me 30 minutes to drive a few miles. Also I really hate snow. But the good news certainly outweighs the bad seeing as lately I've been working wayyy too much.

Also because I live in one of the areas that were severely effected by Sandy, people are panicking and last night gas stations were running out. -FACEPALM-

Hope everyone in this storm is staying SAFE, to quote Chris. :D

It's been snowing all day. There's like 8 inches of snow that fell on top of the previous 5 inches that fell the other time snow fell all day.

I've been used to snow, heck, last year we had a blizzard that left us without power for several days and gave us two feet of snow. The next week, we have 80 degree weather and all the snow melted.

I guess the point is that snowstorms in Northern Michigan don't really scare me one bit.

We got about one or two days of light snow all winter and that was it...it's in the 40's right now.

For you guys getting the worst of it, be careful out there.

So...
Who wants to bet Nemo 2 will be about Nemo... FINDING HIMSELF.

I'm sure he will if he...
STORMS ALONG and doesn't BLOW BY opportunities.

I am so sorry.

We definitely have about a foot of snow now, by the way. I kind of can't wait to see how white and snowy the place will be tomorrow (because I know I won't be shoveling a flake of it).
I am concerned about flights though. I wouldn't think Nemo'd affect it too awfully, but my boyfriend's flying in Wednesday and so we're really hoping there won't be any cancellations.

I'm in Brooklyn it's not so bad right now.

Forecast is for 9 inches
And whatever snow we get.

Heyoooo

There was some heavy snow around the country recently but I'm near the coast right now, so I only got a little sprinkle of it.
Doesn't change how bitingly cold it is. Thankfully, I have very long thick hair, so I don't need a hat.

We got about 15-18 inches. I was just informed that I don't have to go to work today...an hour after I was supposed to be there. I really love snow days more as an adult than I ever could when I was in school. Also, here's my dog eating the snow:

nemo didn't screw me too bad and it's already melting pretty well.

After the snow and wind drifting we ended up with 5 feet of snow at our house. It was ridiculous. Fortunately, I was at college, so I didn't get caved in by it nor do I have to drive tomorrow. I'll just leave this (That's not me or our house, but it's still funny anyways):

The way life should be, they said...A great place to be, they said...Open for business, they said...Vacationland, they said...

We ended up with just under 2 feet. The governor did the "OMFG STATE OF EMERGENCY" and incited a travel ban for two days, so no one in the state could go out without a significant fine. A mall around here claimed that it'd open on Saturday at 1PM, but that got knocked down real quick when the mayor was all "How are you planning on opening when all the roads are closed?" They're still not recommending people go out so they can work on snow clean-up, but that's not going to happen.

Now we're expecting freezing rain tomorrow, so I guess things are going to get more interesting around here.
