I wasn't aware of this but it's the least surprising thing I've heard all week. The Cracked forums was where the users (and staff) would go to cry to David Wong that the meanies (it was too early to call them alt-right chuds) in the comment sections were promoting hate speech by saying hard-hitting articles such as "America's Tomatoes Taste Like Garbage (Because Of Racism)" and "5 Ways Modern Men Are Trained To Hate Women" were unfunny preachy crap rife with factual errors.

They're so unhinged into perceived partisan bloodlust that they can't comprehend that Kyle Rittenhouse may be a racist, a white supremacist and a Trump supporter who was entirely wrong to go to Kenosha that evening, especially with a weapon, and still be completely and utterly innocent of the charges he's facing or at the very least not guilty of two charges of first-degree murder. They think a liberal Democrat judge following liberal jurisprudence is the knifes edge of a white supremacist movement to deny Black people justice. They think Black people should be rioting in the streets (well, Black people's streets anyway, certainly not white people's) over a white person shooting white people in self-defense. They think overthrowing the entire centuries old liberal rule of law to put a single white person in prison for life by any means necessary somehow is a necessary statement of justice for Black people and society writ large. They think that not only have Black people been severely harmed by this case which involves no Black people but now Asians (oops, I mean [lists every type of Asian]) have been violently attacked by the case due to the judge making a dad joke.

This case has shown just how far gone a large swath of the social justice "left" is into reactionary totalitarianism. I look forward to their continued sanity on this and other issues as their increasing extremism on all issues progresses.

If someone threatens to kill you and lunges for your gun, you should drop it and challenge him to a sanctioned street fight. Someone also found a case where the same judge let a black man go for beating up an attacker, citing self-defense. I keep getting asked this question by retards else where and it's not a bad question. The answer is that had he killed Rittenhouse with that skateboard he would also be on trial to determine whether or not it was justified self defense.

Both Rittenhouse and the skateboard guy could have acted in self defense. Cognitive dissonance and all but both actors can be right.

Cracked was an oddball website. It started out as a cheesy ripoff of Mad Magazine, when it was a periodical, then they took the name for what was, for a while, a funny website, which then slowly transformed into painfully unfunny autism and proto-woke bullshit that I found annoying and preachy even when I still agreed with (most of) it.

At least I'll give the tomato article credit for two things. One, grocery store tomatoes are absolute trash. Two, this really is because they pick them green and then artificially "ripen" them with ethylene gas, which leaves them looking bright red like actual edible tomatoes, but with all the flavor and texture of wax fruit.

The only way to get good tomatoes is to grow them yourself, really, unless you have a good farmer's market nearby, and even those sometimes just buy grocery store tomatoes and re-label them, like dickheads. I find them best when they're something like a couple days from actually going off, and those don't travel well at all.
