Oh yeah, I'm not saying people should do it, but the idea that only "privileged people" can afford it is really funny to me. It's not that expensive, but it is pretty wasteful.

Yes, and some people pull the "I'm handicapped and can't leave the house!" card. They can have regular-ass groceries delivered, in bulk, once a week. But they're addicted to Starbucks and Chipolte burrito logs

Tbh I do this once or twice a month when I'm drunk at midnight and most stores are closed but I want a cheesesteak from a ghost kitchen. That's the only acceptable use case scenario

I wonder what the reaction would have been on this site if it was around during the 2003 Iraq War.

They have a very naive attitude in which if any civilians get killed it completely invalidates the reason for the bombings. I wonder if they'd be so sympathetic if Ukraine starts firing into Russia and civilians start dying. Russians are probably too white and too European for them to care.

The Ukrainians started killing civilians, not many, with their drone attacks on Moscow. They ignored it then went back to calling Russians barbarians.😂

"Genocide" is the latest word to fall victim to watering down the meaning. We've all seen it before with how quick they are to call people Nazis or racists, eventually it loses meaning.

If it was a year of genocide, the death toll in Gaza would be in the millions, not the tens of thousands (and the number they keep quoting, as do many news outlets, are provided by Hamas and will obviously be inflated for the optics).
