Night shift

You are either built for it or you're not. I loved my nightshift job till I had to leave. my favorite work was security booth because nobody cared and I could catch up on work I was working on. I come from a line of midnight workers. the only thing that sucks, if you suck at sleeping, is getting daylight.

Edit: this thread was started in fitness if you are new to and actively working midnights. its tips from people who did the job

Depends on the job and it's location. Night shift at a 7-Elven is terrible as you'll have to deal with more druggies and higher chances of being robbed. Night shift security jobs are normally okay but sometimes you're given a shift somewhere that has homeless trying to break in and sleep or that's known for Johns bringing in prostitutes to fuck, . Happened at a place I worked at. Stopped being a security guard for awhile after that. Now I work from home and have for over a decade now and get to work any time I want. Can't sleep due to one minor operation tomorrow so I'm working.

I saw that night shift at suicide hotlines for cities are pretty quiet at night after 12am. Either the attention seekers are sleeping or they're dead by that point.

I’m 100% a night person. One of the reasons I really like work from home is that I can do most of it at night when I have the energy, then in the morning I can call people I need and attend meetings, then the rest of the day is free for whatever.

I loved working night shift. The commute was always chill and grocery shopping afterwards was a dream. My first night shift job was in a nursing home. Most everyone was asleep so you just had to do rounds, restocking, and take care of the folks who wouldn't stay off the call light. The only downside was dealing with occasional creepy shit. Second night shift job was in a warehouse and I loved it. I work 9-5 now but I still have night owl tendencies.

Night shift is the time work at a group home. The retards are less likely to get violent at night and kill you. Nowadays I go to school during the day and work after 7pm after I make everyone supper and finish at 1am, get about five hours of sleep since I can't get more than four to five hours of sleep anyways and wake up to make breakfast for everyone.

Night shift is fantastic. My store closes at night so the bulk of my shift has no customers. Nobody getting in my way, I can actually get things done, and our manager even lets us listen to music. The extra dollar an hour doesn't hurt either! Finally my fucked up NEET sleep patterns are actually normal and helpful for once lol
