So the fact that it didn't sell out and you could pick one up retail, on day one...lack of demand, or Nintendo got their shit together with production?
They dumped a ton of Switch 2s into the US expecting trade complications, so there's a bit of surplus. I know in Japan it's completely sold out.

Anyway, I've been enjoying playing Switch 1 games on the Switch 2. I got MKW but haven't even opened it yet. Been too busy playing TotK and Pokemon Scarlet on my 1440p OLED monitor.

He really is a Grifter himself as he admits he makes more views and subs hating on Nintendo. But it's okay he isn't like that lolcow Muta so he has his principles. Yuck!
You probably should add information like that in the same post you link a video because you have a bad habit of just posting random videos and expecting people to watch them unprompted.

I was given a switch 2 as a birthday present, Mario kart world is actually pretty fun, obviously not worth 80 dollars though. The the console itself is very lightweight compared to my legion go, it feels like a cheap toy, botw and totk run at a consistent 60fps, and gamecube games run about the same as they would in dolphin. I look forward to trying Kirby Air Riders when it comes out, I don't think I'll be buying any 3rd party games on the switch 2 if they're available on other platforms though.

7/10 too much water

It's really crazy they had such a bare bones launch. Switch 1 was heavy on ports and Switch 2 had plenty of time in the oven (though I think they should've waited for a Christmas release), so where are the new games? They couldn't get 2 or 3 new launch exclusives? DK is close to launch but...seriously...that's not enough enough either.

I suspect Nintendo will be sucking BlackRock cock harder than ever if Switch 2 flops.
I think Nintendo should have held off on releasing TotK on Switch 1 and instead waited and worked longer on it so it could've been launched alongside the Switch 2 and take more advantage of whatever new capabilities the switch 2 has over the switch 1. If TotK was coming out for the first time right now with switch 2 the console would be in very high demand right now. This also would have given them more time to work on Mario Kart World for a later release as well so it's not so dead and boring.

In Europoor land I can go into the shop today and buy one. It's not just the US

It would have been nice but TotK came in the middle of a lull for Nintendo and was nicely served there (Mario Wonder came shortly after, and Xenoblade 3 before, but X3 underperformed so...) As is, Mario Kart, then Donkey Kong, then Metroid, then possibly a big fall exclusive (Splatoon or AC?) then PZA is a stacked year for Nintendo. I think they'd have been wasting TotK to put it alongside Mario Kart. It also would have fucked the timeline on the Warriors spinoff. I know, I know, thats a minor concern and KT could have just waited to make it, I just think that actively rooting for delays is dumb.

Redditors are reporting that using unofficial chargers can brick the console, matching the leaks about the system self-bricking if it detects higher voltages.

If true, this is a civil lawsuit in the making, and the EU won't be happy about it either. But then again Nintendies are the biggest fanatics on earth and they'll probably eat the loss and buy another one rather than take the heckin' good guys who shaped their childhoods to court.
Why would Nintendo give a shit, they did the exact same thing on Switch 1 (use the form of a USB-C while not adhering to the actual standard) and to the best of my knowledge all that came of it was that some retards who had voided their warranty by not using Nintendo Seal Of Quality overpriced peripherals bricked their Switches and had to buy another while Papa Miyamoto laughed.

I'm sort of curious Nintendo's standard changed again to fuck with the Madcatz of the world or if it's just the same standard with the same consequence but Nintendo certainly didn't do the sane thing and revise the power supply to not fucking kill itself if you stuck a USB C charger running USB C voltage into the USB C hole in your console so I have to assume this is intended.

What amazes me is how boring the design is. If you showed someone the new console they'd think it's something like the mini PS2 rather than a complete new console. The big new screen is pointless when the only way you'd get passable graphics is docking it, in which case might as well play it on PC for 60+ fps.
It's also a step backwards in image quality because Nintendo is greedy and obviously plans to release a Switch 2 OLED.

Even the cheapest phones come with OLED screens nowadays. There's no excuse for a LCD in 2025.

I was thinking more about TotK replacing Mario Kart World altogether. Release Mario Kart World later in a more polished state. It's a hypothetical so it doesn't matter, but I do see your point. Ideally Metroid Prime 4 wouldn't have been delayed so much so they could have released that instead of TotK when they did.

I bought the bing bing wahoo 2 machine today, got the last mario cart bundle walmart had. I like the build quality, it physically feels better than my oled switch, the magnets hold pretty well. 1080p is a nice pixel density for a screen this size, makes mario kart look great even though there is motion blur an oled screen wouldn't have. If they do release an oled version I don't think I'll buy one, I find that I'm too autistic for oled and the idea of screen burn makes me not want to play certain games and keep the screen brightness down as low as I can stand for any given room brightness. I have yet to try out original switch games on it but the idea of better performance is nice, I wanted to go back to play some arceus one of these days anyway. Also I figured I'd get the first version for just in case it's easier to hack than later models like other consoles when it does eventually get hacked.

I'm not a huge mario kart fan and didn't play 8 much so I can't compare, but I'm having fun with mario kart world. I probably wouldn't pay $80 for it but since it's cheaper with the bundle and is the only big thing out for it right now I grabbed it. it'll be a good game to play with family anyway. People going on about how its garbage are probably being overdramatic. It's not a system seller for me, the real system seller is air riders.

tldr got what I expected I'd get, not disappointed. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out long term. I haven't seen much talk about it in my circles, so it doesn't seem to have made much of an impact on launch from where I stand.

TotK was also delayed, of course, and ideally should have been out a year earlier.

Plenty of Switch 2 "cards" (exchanged for the good at the till) at my local Costco this morning. Didn't look like they'd been selling many, if any. Kinda rushed by because Costco shoppers suck, but that was my impression. Market is behaving rationally. I wonder if this is some Nintendo plan to ensure that the hardware is available as the surge in demand per game hits in waves. Nintendo's tone has been strange for this launch, I certainly think.

It won't stock me if it was a social experiment. Just remember that BlackRock does own some Nintendo. I think it will end up being like the Wii U all over again in the long run.

One of these is total theory, two of these are cross-gen (and primarily marketed for the Switch 1), and the only exclusive is from a less important series that generally does not sell systems. All the holiday titles are also cross-gen. I get what you mean in terms of Nintendo as a whole, but this is a pretty bad line-up for the Switch 2 in particular. People are just going to buy the Switch 1 versions instead of dropping 520 plus tax on a new console and one (1) game.

"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition"

Are they actually making the soy boys buy new 80 dollar copy of the game they already own, instead of giving them free update to the game?

They will do and and they will make tons of excuses as to why it's actually a good thing.

It's also a set backwards in image quality because Nintendo is greedy and obviously plans to release a Switch 2 OLED.

And the Nintensoys will buy that too despite already having the launch Switch 2 and not waiting for better. And they will also have a million excuses as to why that's a good thing. They vote with their wallets the wrong way. This is why it's not gonna get any better.
