Although honestly, if I was getting creepy pedos commenting on my work and creeping on me and telling me how much they like porn of little cartoon girls, I'd probably get super uncomfortable too.

It's become a sort of thing recently that some offensive edgelords have begun to flip into SJWs. I know people that try to shit on everyone and turn into kind and open-minded people years later. No problem with that. It's just that the interesting thing about these people (Coffin, Linkara, Nyanners, Dobson, Kotaku writers) is how they never acknowledge shit they did in the past that they would consider offensive now and how they take it to SJW levels of extreme. Nothing wrong if you decide to become more sensitive and open-minded towards people. But then there's that level and then there's Tumblrite level, which they always aim for.

It's kinda' reasonable for Nyanners to take the video down if it made her uncomfortable; I wouldn't really call that SJW-tier. Imagine the kind of comments you'd get publicly and privately when you're known for making something like that. It's not like she's demanding someone else to change their content; she's free to do whatever she wants with her own creations.

That being said, she is a bit of an attention whore, which is kinda' why she's at this point in the first place - pandering to a very strange group of people.

This is probably going to be a new trend among people on the internet. When it comes to getting a job or focusing your life around making things, you're going to get weird looks depending on what you make. Making things based off uncomfortable topics is going to attract eyes of not just SJWs but the more public audience who will ask you "What the fuck is this shit?". The internet is full of people saying/doing things that they would never do out in the public eye. I know people that stopped drawing/writing about naughty and offensive things because they plan to make public portfolios for work and don't want employers seeing shit that would get them thrown out.

I do agree with Nyanners removing the video because it's something you don't want the public to know you made. Even people at ED or channers would clean up their act if they're hoping to get their name out there for public business. It's just how you exactly change is the thing.

Huge fan of Patreon being called the "hipster welfare" but I'm pretty sure the real hipster welfare continues to be trust funds. The financial surplus of an entire generation has been passed on to create this weird economy based on who can solicit enough attention by whining on the internet.

from what I remember, they were going to have DukeLovesYou as the announcer, but then someone wanted to do a last minute change to Nyanners because she sounded cute or something, instead of Duke since he already had experience.
alot of arguing and shitposting ensued.
I wasn't really involved nor did I care so I didn't pay much attention.
