And the really cool thing is that apparently, if you ride a boat on it, the anti-cheat kicks you for BoatMove. The anti-cheat is a bit over zealous.

It's actually robin_red16 doing spawn. The spawn protection ends right before the wall so they just following lava, than water, then lava, over and over. Not a quick process, but it's working.

@Null let me know if you need help cleaning spawn up. Unless you plan to just reset it somehow.

Ah makes sense

@Null, set the world guard flags for the spawn region for lava-flow and water-flow to deny to prevent this from happening again

None of this would happen if spawn was underwater. This just further proves that underwater dwellings are superior.
 
I accidentally reset too much (about 20x more than I needed to) because the F3 menu reports information inconsistent with the world data files. Dealing with this shit is not fun and I feel bad for trying to get people onto something I'm claiming is going to be stable and then accidentally butchering shit. I cannot believe how awful Mojang's shit is to deal with.

probably not going to go ahead with a second server at this point. there's been some cute creative stuff (that I've deleted) but most of what people are doing seems to just be ruining spawn and complaining about not being able to hack a children's video game. this doesn't inspire me to move forward. My goal with an anarchy server was to have a low effort place for community fun.
 
Give people the ability to destroy and they will destroy. It doesn't help to advertise it as an anarchy server. It was an interesting social experiment while it lasted.

You let the birds play Monopoly how they wanted to, so they shat all over the board and flew off with most of the pieces. If you want something fun, I'd suggest killing the Anarchy and instead institute communism some veeeery basic ground rules and protections, same as the forum itself. The people who are bitching about it not being 2b2t are idiots, and should rightfully be ignored. Is it possible to add in some of the basic protective features to make the current server stabilized in it's assholery level, then you can go mostly hands-off?

The community could possibly automod itself and murder trolls and the like as long as the hacks are defeated.
 
Here's something I've been working on on and off. Trying to make a more magic based underwater city.
