Let’s talk about it here. I’m starting to notice that kids today really like saying nigger nonstop which is heartwarming. But also, kids don’t know how to change a tire and constantly can’t sumo deadlift 135, which is depressing. How do you deal with your knees and dick acting up? How’s that second divorce?

Working on various farms, I would like to add a bit of a white pill: some kids are doing okay. I had a full on normal conversation with a 19 year old the other day about welding, kid had a great head on his shoulders, understood that he needed to learn about diverse set of skills, wanted to focus on roofing after he finished up his welding gig at the farm he was at. I taught him how to shift the semi-truck while we were hauling hay. Extremely wholesome.

One of the hardest things I've had to deal with is the fact that as you reach more advanced ages, you become more and more culturally irrelevant. As you get older you become a part of a smaller and smaller select group. Ads aren't aimed at you anymore -- which fuck ads anyways, but still, something about it does bother you, on a deep level, when you see the entire world moving on without you.

Agreed. It's real. And unless you prepare yourself for your future. You are fucked. First hand seeing this shit happen. The difference is though how I see society treats the elderly as casts offs, There are those who just don't give one shit what Society thinks of them. I'm one of those people because I... HAVE... MONEY... Enough to choose how I want to live and how I want to die.

But I do see many of the elderly just have no one to talk too. A society that considered them nothing but an old... broken... useless cog of consumerism.

Not there just yet, but what are your 40s like? How do they differ from your 30s?

The only signs of getting older that I started to notice in the past decade are worsened back pain and difficulty reading small print.

It's pretty hard to generalize a group of several million people, so most of us drop the pedantry and just go along with the message without having to offer our own two cents as a means to appear *le smart*. Please try to leave the bad reddit habits on reddit. 😉

If you're over the hill and starting to feel your age, just get elected to the US Senate. You'll instantly feel 25+ years younger when surrounded by all those walking corpses. Little old lady senators will pinch your cheeks and rub your hair and pretend to mistake you for one of their great grandchildren.

If you do any kind of labor involving crawling, wear knee pads. Nothing sucks like hitting your 30s and literally feeling your knees creak when you stand up.
