I've been following BTS for awhile and the behind the scenes and Korean tv shows they do with them cooking, traveling etc. are really interesting. They are actually super sweet and just really nice. They were gaining worldwide attention so I don't blame management for grabbing onto it and putting out an album in english. Cash in while you can. The Vegas concert was wild. 50,000 all 4 nights.Contrary to popular belief, K-dramas are a lot more big than K-pop in the West. Just because BTS is making teenage girls forget that Backstreet Boys and Boyz II Men exist, does not mean that everyone likes it.
I said it before on a Deep Thoughts thread, but 90’s and 00’s K-pop is miles ahead of current day K-pop. People like Oli only like the current day version because of image and astroturfing on social media, mainly on TikTok.
Oli knows nothing about kpop or bts besides him liking how Jimin looks from a few tiktok videos. He's a sped and would have certainly tried to turn himself into Nick Carter back in the early 2000's. I'm surprised he hasn't died yet from sepsis from the discount procedures he's getting but I guess there's still plenty of time.
