I'm debating on whether I should make a TheBestGamers thread because despite being old, the drama is still extremely juicy and not talked about. Apparently, one of the guys involved (Gamzerguy) faked his own death for three months. Another person, Karnivore88, seems to be stalking DingDong and trying to rile shit up on 4Chan, despite TBG being long-defunct at this point. This is the tip of the iceberg.

Wait could darkgamer be that guy who threatened to hit Chris and bragged about selling ps2 games? Unless those were two different people nvm. However, the first chatlog mentioned darkgamer hated krissy because she wouldn't date him (The guy in Chris's story tried to hit on a girl in the woods and threatens Chris afterward) and was said to steal shit for money (Bragged about making money from selling ps2 games to Gamestop).

Very well just a coincidence, hell someone stealing shit and (failing) to flirt with girls isn't an uncommon thing especially in California where it's either live shitty or live homeless. Unless they don't live there, idk their lives!

That being said, I know very little of The Best Gamers besides DingDong and RockCock, the others remind me of myself but myself as a cringy teenager making Homestuck comic dubs for attention. It makes me want to do more, you know? To not end up like those guys.

I don't know much, but unless the dude mentions a "wooden box" he kept hidden under his bed, it may just be a coincidence.

Niall is an even bigger mystery since his accent is even more American than Chris's and he long since moved back to Wexford. That said Chris has posted videos on Twitter when he returns back to visit his parents and sister and his accent definitely becomes much more Irish.

Niall probably just takes in the american accent much faster than Chris, but it makes me wish that Chris would get some irish buddies again in his hometown to record a thing together, not necessarily an LP but I remember him uploading stuff with random friends

i remember occasionally watching TBG shit when it was around, had no idea ding dong was involved with it. i didnt even know there were people other than rockcock64 involved, a quick rundown of all the shit that went on might be nice
 
I absolutely love the boys when they play obscure or old games..
But goddamn does Chris keep crying about useless crap when he plays new games
I'm pretty biased, but keeping about crying of the music and not realizing how much DS Remake has made the game better and more accessible, without taking anything out of the original experience (Well, I think they should've left the original item carry system, but ehhh whatever).
Also Chris is shit at Souls games. He plays the most boring way; Shield up, rarely sprinting, never parrying or using strong attacks. No wonder he sounds bored.







Okay. I ran through Boletaria in 8 minutes, killed the bosses in 4-1,2,3 after an hour (died a few times). Grabbed Magic Sword "Makoto" from White World Shrine of Storms. Then I traded a Talisman of the Gods with Snuggly the Crow for a Colorless Demon's Soul. Next was Tower of Latria and the first boss is a breeze. In Latria -2 you can find the Gold Mask, that you can trade with the crow for another Colorless soul. Then I went through Valley of Defilement 1-3 and farmed stones of Ephemeral eyes. Then kept killing myself so I got pure black world tendency in Storms, Latria and Defilement and I got magic sword "Makoto" +5 at level 34.
I got a fun sword that has great range and damage, but keeps eating 1% of my HP every second. Man it's been fun Co-Op with random people!

I think that's the real issue with the criticism. It's boring as fuck to watch him play these games badly, because he isn't even doing goofy things. When Ding-Dong rails on a game, he was usually doing ridiculous and funny shit while plonking away at it; even if you find the critique grating, it doesn't really matter because there's something to engage with. Chris dislikes a lot of the animation and the lack of subtlety and soundtrack and the lighting differences etc. in this remake- it's all fair.

Think about when they did Amnesia for the Boneyplays - they were making fun of how boring and unscary the fucking game was, as well as how narratively stupid alllll the damn flashbacks were. They'd fuck with things in the environment and try to leap to their death, make fun of the goofy animations, so-on. It was a shit game, but a fun playthrough.

I noped out of the Demon's Souls playthrough when they forgot what the game's alluring skull is or does. I think that if he even just dropped his damn shield when he didn't need it, it'd be more vaguely watchable; but it is really uninteresting to watch him sit around for an extra couple seconds on every enemy because he just wants to sit there with it up aimlessly, refusing to swing until he's got near-full green goo while making it regen half as fast. If he was just bonking people, or even if he was getting his ass beat? It'd be plenty entertaining and the criticism wouldn't bug me.

Personally it for me it was that he just kept the shield out, then started talking about his shield sucked. Check your gear before you start the game. Not to mentoin if he actually liked DS(PS3) like he kept preaching, he'd immediately realized the new dodge system. I hate to say it, but Oney has become a goddamn boomer..

Have they ever checked the stats or item descriptions. Oney barely made it out of Dark Souls, just because he had played through it once already. And he decided to use the same goddamn weapons he had gotten used to. He's a funny let's player. He's a fucking aggravating Souls player. Good thing his Dark Souls 2 LP didn't go anywhere, because that game is even more resource and skill demanding.

Okay I'm facepalming so hard that I feel that the cat in upstairs flat is scratching my brain.
Oney played Dark Souls, the most mechanically bad souls game. He hated DS2 because his old tactics didn't work. He hardly played Bloodborne and he completely ditched dark souls 3.
But he's qualified to criticize all of them.
He did pretty good on his solo Dark Souls run and with DD & Julian, why the hell is he such a loser and a negative nancy during this playthrough. (And yes I used negative Nancy because he's just that)
