Matt Watson’s comments on transphobia made me ask, are Super Mega gay? They constantly apologize for racy jokes in their videos now so what changed.

They also threw in a jab at JonTron in their blm podcast episode for bonus points so yeah, they're putting all their chips in on that sweet twitter cred because of their association with Game Grumps
 
It's not a new thing, in one of the Oney Plays episodes he was on he talked about going to a protest at Trump Tower. I wasn't a big fan of Matt's commentary when he was on so if this keeps him from guesting because Oney is considered impure that's a win.

As for the gay thing, no idea. Matt seemed a little uncomfortable when that topic came up (regarding Dingdong and Julian) in one LP but that could go either way.

I heard in one video he has a girlfriend but in the recent mailbag episodes he wore dresses from fans sending them in. Another point that gets forgotten about is that Super Mega is a lot younger than the Oneyplays group and they are more concerned about cancel culture so they go the sjw route.
 
Even with Matt's sjw shit it still seemed like he was cool with joking around about it and not taking it too seriously, at least on Oney Plays. So I still liked having him there. Not sure how he is these days though.

He and Ryan were like Oney where they would make fun of both sides, but I definitely felt that shift to what they are now when Oney left, the ding dong dox happened, and then Arin started being more "progressive"

I thought that when Supermega left they would have more freedom for racy jokes, but it's pretty obvious they're riding off the clout from being in Game Grumps and that includes having to entertain that same twitter-infested fandom, making it worse for anyone who liked them back then

Even with all of that they still haven't hit one million subs while their videos barely reach a quarter of what they currently have, oneyplays nearly has the same thing going on but they have more spikes in views as they release the complete/best of videos

Supersmegma has a patreon whereas oneyplays doesn't. They must be seriously screwing up if they can't properly monetize their channel and "brand".

Oh right, I completely forgot about their patreon and yeah Oneyplays can't get a break with youtube constantly flagging from whatever joke or curse word which I keep spotting they miss some in their reuploads and a while later they take it down again
 
Oney and a lesser extent the rest of the crew can manage without YouTube because they developed skills outside of the platform, Supermega and their skillbase is solely reliant on either creating content themselves, or editing other peoples content. Poisoned by L.A. and stuck where they cannot exist without YouTube and the fanbase they cultivated through it, theres no wonder they play it super safe and liberal.

They live in LA what do you expect? I had to unfollow him on Twitter because I was tired of his constant BLM tweets.

I'm surprised there's still people who actually care about them playing a game well or ever finishing games on the channel. This has always been more of Chris and the guests talking about stupid shit and being entertaining for me, the gameplay is just background filler they occasionally remark on unless it's a game that's stupid enough to warrant attention kind of like the Avengers playthrough.

Played through Chris after watching some of the lets play, I think I actually know what they got stuck on. There's a part near the end where you have to follow a character, fight through a wave of enemies, and then they deliver to you a plot twist - but you can easily miss where they actually go to. (Or that they even show up at all). The map this happens in isn't even that large though, so not sure how they could have gotten stuck and given up for a while.
