The problem is these people don't advertise their intentions right away. It's always a soft coup. It starts with seemingly innocuous things and builds from that. Does not help that what they demand seems so reasonable and appeals to people's good nature. Weaponized altruism. It's no accident that SJWs have also been called kindly inquisitors. I agree, but as some one else pointed out before (might have been here) most people dont have the time/energy to deal with the (unjust) backlash, and for others it might even ruin their career prospects/growth.
