Windows is objectively the superior OS for gaming. Shit just works without needing to jump through a billion gay hoops.

Also, like 99% of cheaters in online games use Linux, so it's increasingly not going to be supported in the future.

I switched over to bazzite from windows recently and it's great for regular web and gaming shit. Works out of the box and any small issues I've encountered were easy to figure out with chatgpt.

Windows is bloated, when I upgraded from 10 to 11 on my home and work PCs I had noticeably worse performance, and MS has been removing functionality from previous versions.

While perhaps Windows "just works", linux does exactly what i want it to.

I've been messing around with FreeBSD. Its been great other than some wifi card driver nonsense that took me too long to resolve. Its been cool to dick around with and most importantly made me feel superior to others.

Just getting MO2 working on linux is a hassle, any hacks will be made much much more difficult because of the abstraction. I'd argue that 90% of hacks and cheats simply do not work on Linux unless you are basically rewriting them from scratch. So shut up, jeet.

99% of distros are almost completely identical
i would personally go for something far more upstream than bazzite but i assume you have your own criteria for a proper distro

no software-as-a-service garbage
no forced update that adds some niggerlicious widget to your taskbar
no gay telemetry
no having to go through and change the settings back after it "helpfully restored the recommended settings"
no running elaborate script bundles to partially cripple all of the above so you can actually use your computer
no having to run the scripts again after you update your computer
no preinstalled bloatware; every browser is equal

it's so peaceful, isn't it?
 
For all my years actually using Linux as a daily driver, I still don't understand why should I care about Wayland. Every year or two, I do another big research project about why Wayland is such a revolution compared to Xorg, and every time I'm dissapointed and confused. My Debian STABLE with xfce just fucking werks(tm) for years without any maintenance, most of my work is done inside Firefox and VS Code anyway, so if you're not a 14-years old byronic male posting your riced Gentoo WM neofetch screenshots with anime wallpapers on 4chan/g/ then you almost shouldn't care about that stuff.

When it comes to troons in Libre Software(tm), I too used to get mad at them and all that COC garbage, until I tried coding in Rust, and that dragged me somewhat on their side. Rust is fucking amazing. Straight up pure programming bliss. Troons still annoy me, COC still annoy me, but I've learned to keep my opinions for myself. I don't care about what happened to your dick&balls, just put the code in the bag please.

We don't need any barbed wire. Just put them in a warehouse and force them to (re)write everything in musl based C with no abstractions.
