The media player in Mint is so much better then VLC for regular usage. Everything Mint has done has been in consideration for ease of use and reliability.

I have a small disagreement, Micay thinks he's LARPing just to harm GOS but that's not the case. If the warrant he posted isn't enough proof that he's at least telling the truth about being wanted for murder, then what is?
The point still stands though that criminals are retarded and no amount of security features can protect them. This is something governments need to realize rather than attacking GOS as a criminal tool, but then again these are the same retards who think guns are criminal tools and ban them similarly.

So you don't want people to have a good time using their computer at all. Ubuntu is trash. Mint goes above and beyond to take Ubuntu and make it not shit, such as by shipping with a very nice, user friendly DE by default and not the anti-user heap of shit that is GNOME. Mint just works, it's turbo user friendly, it doesn't try to make itself hostile to the user like Ubuntu or Arch/Gentoo or Windows. If you're unable to recommend Mint to beginners then you should have your Internet access permanently cut off as you're a detriment to society.
