# Polyphony Contributor Code of Conduct

This code of conduct document is based on the Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct. It has been
updated to be even more in line with our core community values.

## Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our
community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body

## Our Standards

- Being respectful of other peoples' identities and gender pronouns
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback

- Focusing on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

- Homo-, trans- and queerphobia, ableism and racism, even when "just a joke".
- The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or
advances of any kind
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal (ad hominem) attacks
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or email
address, without their explicit permission
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a
professional setting. Goofing around is fine, but don't push your luck.
- Actively advertising your own content without a community leaders' consent
outside of communication channels where this is explicitly allowed.
Sharing a repository, a software project or other content is always okay;
perceived intent matters.

### Our stance on using AI to generate images, video, music and code

We disapprove of the usage of AI image and video generation within our community. This practice
undermines artistic professions by devaluing the creativity, skill, and craftsmanship of humans
and otherkin entities, which is already leading to job displacement within creative fields.

The training data used for these models is often obtained without the consent of artists, denying
them their right of control over their work and any sort of financial compensation. This is
simply unethical. In addition to this, LLMs such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT etc. use an
incredible amount of water and energy for every single prompt.

As such, we do not condone the use or spreading of AI generated images, videos, or music in our work
and our community.

We will not accept code contributions derived through highly LLM-automated coding practices,
commonly referred to as "vibe coding". We do not, however, place restrictions on the usage of
LLMs to help you answer questions, learn new topics or help with debugging code you'd like
to contribute.

## Enforcement Responsibilities

Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of
acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in
response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive,
or harmful.

Community leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject
comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions and content
that is not aligned to this Code of Conduct, and will communicate reasons for
moderation decisions when they deem appropriate.

All community members are responsible for staying vigilant. Report unacceptable behavior to
community leaders and speak up against harassment.

## Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces, and also applies when
an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces.
Examples of representing our community include using an official e-mail address,
posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed
representative at an online or offline event.

## Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be
reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the

## Enforcement Guidelines

### Correction

**Community Impact**: Use of inappropriate language or other behavior deemed
unprofessional or unwelcome in the community.

**Consequence**: A written warning from community leaders, providing
clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the
behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.

### Warning

**Community Impact**: A violation through a single incident or series
of actions.

**Consequence**: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No
interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with
those enforcing the Code of Conduct, for a specified period of time. This
includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels
like social media. Violating these terms may lead to a temporary or
permanent ban.

### Temporary Ban

**Community Impact**: A serious violation of community standards, including
sustained inappropriate behavior.

**Consequence**: A temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public
communication with the community for a specified period of time. No public or
private interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction
with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, is allowed during this period.
Violating these terms may lead to a permanent ban.

### Permanent Ban

**Community Impact**: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community
standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an
individual, or aggression toward or disparagement of classes of individuals.

**Consequence**: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within
the community.

It means that the author is stuck in 2015 tumblr. It's not to mark exceptions, but a wildcard that includes things like otherkin (as pointed out in their code of conduct) so non-trans people (and paedophiles) could get in on the trans hype train. (see also: "non-binary")

In my experience, it's mostly trans ativists not understanding that transhumanism is a completely different thing and being unable to admit that they were wrong, and transhumanists trying to make their evils appealing to trans ativists / "the masses". I think that it's fair to throw them all into the same bucket woodchipper.
 
If troons were transhumanists, as in they would actively work towards making sex change real instead of chopping their dick off and then demanding that everyone pretend that emperor is fully clothed, they would be way more respectable, albeit significantly more horrifying.

This is the bay area startup approach to transhumanism and implementing transsexuality. They start with a mockup and if it the idea gains traction they sell out to a big tech giant who trahses the whole projects and possibly rewrites it in the normal way.
Move fast, break things, proper way of doing things is passe, boil the plastic bags instead.

Except that in this case the mockup stage is perpetual, it seems.

Ok, that was added without a deeper thought, in general, there are some good applications of transhumanism and body augumentation - like prosthetics for disabled/injured people.

What I meant was the parts of transhumanism that detach the person from the body, like we already have LLM-based simulacra of deceased people, which i think is atrocious and convincing people its "just like talking to the person" is extremely immoral, we will have similar approaches for living people as soon as we come up with a working interface to the human brain. In a way trannies are practicing attempting to detach the person and the body, and we can see how it goes. As time goes on, it will only get worse.

because it's not representing the truth of what actually happens (for LLMs are nothing but statistical models) or in general?
