Hyprland 0.41 has recently been released: https://hyprland.org/news/update41/

This update removes a lot of wlroots code (which belongs to freedesktop, where vaxry is banned from), lowering the % of code that is pulled in from wlroots to 15%. About 25000 lines of Hyprland code was added to replace most of wlroots in this update.

Funnily enough, the announcement message is missing the trans flag reaction, which is on every other message in the channel:

Vaxry plans to remove wlroots completely from Hyprland.

They have proved that unless we kick and scream like children to Mozilla, they will do anything they want.
My trust and respect for the Mozilla foundation is pretty low, especially since in their blog they supported de-platforming, they laid off a lot of workers despite the CEO getting a large salary, narcissistic browser decisions and preaching pozzed activism.

Oh yes. Even with Google funding they are in bad state.
Imagine if they would be competent enough. Google would stop the funding.

Business-wise, Mozilla as a company is just Google paying for anti-monopoly insurance. If regulators start grumbling about Chrome, Google say "Look! Firefox!"

Never mind that Firefox has fallen to 3% market share and become increasingly Chrome-like over the years. You might almost start to think they weren't serious about competing...

At least it isn't as pathetic as Opera ditching its Presto engine and going from the fastest and slimmest proper browser out there to yet another chrome reskin which now targets gaymers via youtube sponsor segments. Talk about fall from grace.
