For personal reasons I no longer feel safe to... work fully remote over the Internet? What is this lunatic trannoid even talking about? Or is this just a convenient cope to bitch out of real work and go all in on the Mexican Vtuber grift?

GIMP was only usable when the De-Weirdifier plugin was still around, or the Seashore fork of it that gave it a sane interface.
There's always PhotoGIMP.

For fuck's sake can't we have a normal non-tranny nigger faggot working on getting Linux running on Apple silicon? Why'd it'd have to be this dipshit?
Nobody else is as autistic enough to work on software that is not officialy supported by the hardware manufacturers and is rapidly becoming obsolete (no M3 support yet on Asahi and Apple has just started mass-producing the M5 chip). Even though I love the idea of Linux on Apple hardware, it's just a dead end.

It's made even more pointless by Qualcomm working on upstreaming patches for Linux on the Snapdragon X chips, which are almost as good as the M chips (and is bound to get better). It's just not worth trying to fight upstream that won't accomodate you in hardware, especially when your work becomes outdated rapidly.

Does this mean that Linux Torvalds is going to have to move onto another PC or is he one of those paradoxical /g/ computer users that has a computer they use for text based applications and nothing else? (GB2 /v/ or /tv/ c-chud!)

To a what now? Can I get a QRD please, looking it up only gives me something about a minecraft launcher with malicious backdoor-esque vulnerabilities somehow getting uploaded to official package manager repositories.
I'm pretty sure that was some bullshit the trannies who got kicked off the project made up to slander the guy and promote their fork.

Honestly. But it’s just so obscure and like you have the most valuable company in the world a few times, at least top 3, and they could not begin to give less of a fuck about anyone trying to “hack on” their hardware.

You have better luck having a stable Linux experience on some microsoft xbox.

It’s sad but really just some kind of lenovo or thinkpad or some regular and normal x86_64 / amd64 system that sold like a over a million m units and released 1-3 years ago will work just fine.

Some companies at least have an option where you can buy their systems with linux.
While apple would go out of business, get acquired for its assets, then to try to boost sales as a Hail Mary play the acquiring company might try, instead of forever babysitting the frankenstein monster that is mac os.

You would be correct. They essentially made up that it was malicious so that they could get people to stop using the guys project. Tldr trannies got assmad that they couldnt talk about dilating and in his chat for development and created their own release known as prism launcher.

Thank you for clearing that up. Just goes to show you can't believe shit you read online anymore. Literally couldn't find one place that accurately explained the situation without harping on about a 'rogue maintainer' injecting 'malicious code' into the launcher.

A little aside, but I want to shill for NovaCustom a little bit. Been using one of their machines for nearly half a year now and I've had a pretty good time with it so far. Yes, they're Clevo resellers, but they provide surprisingly good customer support and instructions on how to swap out parts, and sell a good bit of them as well (beware buying RAM and SSDs from them, it's a touch on the expensive side for what it offers if you're going for +1TB & 64 gigs). They also offer HEADS firmware flashing if you're into that sort of thing.

>take one bajillion years to release new version of software
>it still can't do basic shit

OSS moment.
I get so fucking tired of hearing how bad GIMP is because it can't draw a circle. It shows you don't actually know what GIMP is. It's an IMAGE MANIPULATION PROGRAM (GIMP) not a fucking paint drawing program. Anyone who actually knows GIMP can just use Gfig, otherwise you can fuck off to using Krita or something.

Reimplement a basic set of unix commands that have been extensively bug tested refined over the course of 30 or so years in rust and push it into Ubuntu 25.10 because a bunch of troons wrote it and "muh memory safety".

Just wait until this gets pushed to Ubuntu servers, and random unforeseen shit starts breaking all over the internet because things like certain combinations of command arguments were never bug tested or are unimplemented and won't produce the same output as the original gnu coreutils.
How come I seldom see them boast about new software written in Rust, but only re-writes? Is there something about Rust which makes developing new software annoying or slow? And even then, most shit written in Rust is 0.x , and Rust itself has an unstable ABI.

Circlecope keeps evolving. Now it's "umm actually it's not supposed to be able to draw circles".
