Diseased Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

this is straight up sadistic psychopath behavior
That translates directly into trying to get Richard Stallman ousted from the FSF and competing projects shut down. This is a dark triad mind and this is how the dark triad mind manifests on the Internet. We've seen it before, especially with someone in particular who could not handle being told 'no'.

kek put his name into google and the first result is

Anyway, the greatest vindication of rms is that all his enemies have either become troons, irrelevant, or both. ncommander is now in fucking Greece complaining about orange man to his dwindling audience. Marcan burned every bridge imaginable and is likely melting down because it turns out no one actually gives a shit about you unless you actually make shit. And the finger-wagging BSD trannies are now coping and sneeding about their increasing irrelevance as Valve pours money into desktop Linux.

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: Oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous. And God granted it.

Damn. There are times I think I could've been a better brother, mostly in that I should spend more time with my siblings even in our adult lives but uhhhh

Like I already have a hard time understanding people who hate their siblings but what the fuck is this shit? Hang this nigga now. The farms is a place that constantly reminds me that shit could be so much worse and perhaps im not doing too bad in life after all.

can someone clear something up for me? Is Ubuntu free and open source or is it something that you have to get hired on like one would for any company? Or is it like how one would volunteer to work in the community? I'm shocked some hr office would hire this dude.

I already wasn't using Ubuntu because of how much Canonical is wanting to shove Snaps down desktop users' throats, you don't have to convince me anymore to not use it..

It is quite disturbing that they're circling the wagons for this chomo employee. I wouldn't necessarily feel annoyed if it wasn't for the fact that they would fire any other employee within a picosecond upon discovering they had an edgy phase that they demonstrably outgrew from when they were younger, especially given the cancellation attempts against Richard Stallman for his controversial views on age of consent, which I vehemently do not agree with.

I do still respect RMS for spearheading the GNU project, the FSF, and convincing Linus to free up the kernel with the GPLv2 license. He is a bit of a loon in his personal life though if you read his site, lol.

Ubuntu is made by Canonical. Canonical makes money by selling support to companies who deploy Ubuntu and its associated software. Support is either ordinary technical support or having their inhouse developers write bespoke software solutions. Using this money, Canonical retains a team of full-time developers who either work on Ubuntu-specific software or work on things that customers want in Linux that can be contributed back to the wider FOSS ecosystem.

You can contribute to ubuntu in a volunteer capacity but Bicha is a FTE paid a salary by Canonical

Don't even get me started on the hypocrisy with rms. The entire community banded together to condemn and oust him for what were essentially extremely autistic comments about age of consent (including people like Drew DeVault who are themselves pedophiles). Meanwhile, child rapist Jeremy Bicha, who committed actual sadistic sexual abuse on his sisters (you know, didn't just say autistic words like Stallman), just gets to be paid by Canonical and nobody in open source gives a shit, they all turn a blind eye.
Prison life will be closest to that.
He already served his sentence, it was extremely lenient.

His own sisters, and victims, believed it was important that Jeremy Bicha be added to the sex offender registry ~10 years after the fact because they believe he is an threat to his own child and should not have access to children/vulnerable people. It's pretty telling. For everyone speaking about "oh that was in the past". His best character witnesses don't feel that way. They believe he's an active danger even as an adult.
It is known there's only one cure for pedophilia.
This shit is heinous and some things deserve capital punishment of flaying followed by hanging, drawing and quartering.

So Canonical replied to Lunduke. Long story short, Jeremy Bicha disclosed his criminal record upon hire. Canonical always knew he was a serial child molester. Canonical implies that this is okay since it wasn't a computer or fraud related crime. Ignoring the liability of having a registered sex offender represent your company, especially at conferences, which are a big part of being a professional FOSS person. Crazy.

I can't even, the edit: Imagine all the times we've heard about how political opinions create unsafe work environments, but not a chomo? Come on. Would you leave your kid, or really anyone with that guy? Of fucking course not. Chomos are constant re-offenders. Chomos get out and immediately run out to a park to molest a kid, happens all the fucking time. No mental gymnastics needed, everyone instinctively understands this guy needs constant direct supervision because if you relax he might just try to rape you with a dildo. That's not a safe workplace, sorry. What is your HR team doing? This is lawsuit fuel. It's perfectly reasonable to feel unsafe around a serial child molester, and juries would agree.
From what I understand this Jeremy guy lives in Florida and he fucked multiple girls including his little sister while he was 12 and she was 9, this continued till the age of 15+ which is the legal bare minimum to be considered a pedophile if you continue doing that.

Now he also lives in Florida and managed to get released(not just parole) so he probably works remotely. Many countries have programs for ex convicts to get job positions. However most of the time said ex-convicts are drug addicts, not sexual assaulter and pedophiles.

I don't know why canonical decided to hire this guy. Maybe he had a friend inside of the company?
