Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

The first things I noticed when I made a Mastodon account many years ago were:
  • The scale of the troon menace.
  • The number of people who seemingly proudly identify as having a mental illness.
  • The fact that they all love Rust.
I still don't understand these cultural phenomena, no doubt partly due to my advanced age. In my youth, Rust didn't exist, transvestitism was a sexual fetish or a mental illness, and there was no cultural cache to be gained from having a mental illness. What is it about troons and the internet and Mastodon and identifying as mental and wanting to rewrite everything in Rust? Why? How? I've tried to research these questions using AI, to no avail.

Total Google Play Store victory I guess
Not surprised:

oh I get it, hah-hah, religion is le ebil, so edgy, well done atheist-plus-ists!

...stupid fucks...

When I say "stupid fucks," what I mean is "they do understand muzzies fucking kill people who shit on their sourcebook, right?"

The new, "Heh, today I moved all the bibles at the bookstore to the FICTION section. :smug:"
Man, the nuAtheists have always been pussies.

When you wanted to troll Christians properly you'd go to a Christian bookstore with gloved hands, bit of dry ice palmed, and find the "holy water" fountain they'd inevitably have, then go touch the water and "start burning." At least that was funny.

The "fiction section" shtick was never funny. Literally nobody outside the group ever laughed. Bookstore (and library) employees just roll their eyes and sigh knowing they have to move the shit back to the right spots.

I wonder how they'd react to you putting communist and marxist screeds in the "fiction" sections. Or the Quran (at least doing that takes a little balls).

I mean, you can fight it and call them retarded or you can hold them to the same values and start reporting apps that allow you to view violence such as:
reddit
wikipedia
steam
every web browser
and basically anything else which details violence

i wonder what they specifically are pointing out as "promote porn" (also wouldn't it be more correct to use pornographic instead of porn in this context?) im not super familiar with the bible but isnt the stuff about adultery just saying to uphold chaste until marriage and to not lust for women besides your bride? i doubt any of the people whom made this change or flagged these apps actually has read any of the bible but it would be entertaining to see their justification for such claims, eitherway this stinks of atheist heresy...

if there is a bookstore out there with a "science fiction dystopia's" section i can see a potentially funny image being created

I love it when retards blame "capitalism" for the lack of free and open source hardware. Because bits and atoms are totally the same.

The Bible, and especially the Old Testament around the book of Genesis to Leviticus, has a lot of wild and insane sexual stories, like the daughters of Lot getting him drunk to have sex with him to conceive children, and male polyamory — a man having multiple wives within the institution of marriage — was common if not encouraged. As well as this, there's quite a few accounts of pagan slaughter — me and all my homies fucking hate the Amalekites, Amorites, Philistines, and Egyptians — genocide, and stonings.

The promoting porn argument is a complete non-sequitur, but there is an argument to be made, IF one ignores the wider context of the book and reads the passages in isolation, that it promotes violence, contains graphic descriptions of death, has sexual content including rape, and themes inappropriate for children.

Overall, this is most likely trannies being trannies, but there is something to be said for the argument that from a secular and objective viewpoint, there are some passages in the Bible that are inappropriate for young children, at least for them to read on their own without someone to explain the context and wider meanings.
