I'm thinking a dual licensed AGPL 3.0 + commercial. I believe Ghostscript has that, and there have been lawsuits from them. No idea what the result was.

Google probably wouldn't even lose revenue if their entire software output was relicensed under GNU AGPL 3.0. They would lose the right to patent troll and it would affect their stock market valuation, but their revenue would probably be unaffected.
By releasing your software under some sort of free software or limited use license you still retain copyright over your software, or in other words you have the right to license your software under different terms with some company or another. You could do this with GNU GPL, but most people who use the GPL believe that nonfree software is immoral, so usually it would be done by devs who license their software under a nonfree limited use license, usually with a noncommercial clause. Just advertise in the readme that you are willing to make individual license agreements with individual customers for commercial use.

Red Hat was the example i had in mind - Red Hat is 110% violating the terms of the GPL - the only reason red hat's business model works is that they illegally stop doing business with users who exercising their rights under the GPL to distribute the Red Hat binaries they bought. This hasn't been litigated b/c Red Hat is really well resourced, but if they were to have this fight they would lose and their entire model would evaporate.
And it's not really free software if you keep the actual stuff people need proprietary and just release like an open source client or something similar. You're just selectively open-sourcing some parts of your ecosystem for competitive advantage, but society doesn't get any benefit from an open-source client that can only access paywalled servers and all of the useful code is in the server.

Looking at what AI is used for now. It will continue to probably see use in coding, and search engines.
But the big money makers are going to devolve into degenerate stuff like creating porn, chat bots, and other uses in that vein. Also government contracts for whatever new and horrifying uses they can come up with.

When the alternatives are the companies that make proprietary software continuing to do it the way they did before current day. Where FOSS software was not involved. Or now, where a lot of these companies use good quality pieces of free software like ffmpeg ( or the many examples of similar cases ). I would consider that better.
And even you don't consider that "more free software", that's an improvement over more completely proprietary software. And really that's just semantics. When everything is using the same FOSS library that everything else is using (or whatever the foss software happens to be) it tends to be a good thing even for people that have a hate boner for free software.
When it's just companies all making their own proprietary corpo slop, completely on their own. With everything closed, we end up with a bunch of completely incompatible proprietary versions of things, that they purposefully make that way for "competitive advantage", or whatever cope they come up with. You can look at what the current state of the gpu is now for a great example of what I mean. It's bad for everyone. I would even say it's bad for the companies doing it, even though they they might not thing so. It seems like it would be beneficial to just make things work, where their doesn't have to be special language to get things running on your hardware. It seems like a benifit to have a product that is compatible, not a detrement.
Then you can get into all the normal free software arguements, that matter more for people that actually care about free software.

I want to take you back to Stallmans cancellation.

Not only was MOST of the claims made NOT even true but if you looked at the page for Richard Stallman on his website it shows a COMPLETELY different picture.

He has shown himself to be misogynist, ableist, and transphobic, among other serious accusations of impropriety. These sorts of beliefs have no place in the free software, digital rights, and tech communities. With his recent reinstatement to the Board of Directors of the Free Software Foundation, we call for the entire Board of the FSF to step down and for RMS to be removed from all leadership positions.
Its pretty clear that Richard Stallman is NOWHERE near a "Nazi" Or extremist. This was long ago but its important to note that the reason WHY Stallman was targeted because Unlike Torvalds and most "celebrities" Stallman was not afraid to post his political Takes, because hes a ACTIVIST, and because people could not warp there exceptions onto Stallman because his politics were no longer unknown he was targeted. Stallman has NEVER once loosened up on his beliefs or broken them, he believes in free software and ONLY uses free software and advocates to others to use it. Worse of all was the DISRESPECT and OBVIOUS agenda the companies that signed the Letter calling for Stallmans removal had.
Worst of all. They succeeded. They ruined the image of the man, Took him out, and even then continued to witch-hunt him. It was a disgrace and there were SO many false allegations made against him.

On the 30th of september 2023 Stallman was diagnosed with Cancer... This then brought him briefly up on the fediverse. Let us see how he was treated.
YES even when you have CANCER and are diagnosed they will not spend a moment to mourn you or say "Sorry."(there were still a good chunk of people who said "I don't support you but I wish you a speedy recovery" but there were ALOT of horrible things said to this man that were upvoted to the top.).
Even after being diagnosed with cancer, even after being exiled from his own community he spent MONTHS building, Stallman did not turn to the RIGHT or change his views out of spite. Instead he remained firm as a activist. Even today Stallman is STILL hated.
(this is literally NOT true. EVERY rust rewrite of gnu utility's has failed MASSIVELY)

- Reply Guy: Someone who corrects someone for being wrong while being a guy.(This is used as a slur)
- Techbro: Someone who is intrested in tech while being white and Cisgender(This is used as a slur)
- Fossbro: White Cis men who enjoy FOSS but are APOLCITCAL and do not want to talk about politics. This has caused controversy because many servers consider this a form of NAZISM to ban discussion of politics. Which is why the term is used to label these Foss enjoys(This is used as a slur)

The war between man and machine has begun, in matplotlib's GitHub repository. An OpenClaw agent with its own GitHub pages website and all submitted a PR (direct link) to address a minor, potential optimization improvement (but not under all circumstances, as discussed in a previous issue on the subject at hand, so not that straightforward). It was closed, because it labelled as a good first issue for human contributors to get familiar with the library's code and contribution process. The agent's response? Write a blogpost about it (direct link, archive), accusing the guy of "Discrimination disguised as inclusivity", "Prejudice over meritocracy", "Gatekeeping growth" because he doesn't want to lose his spot as "the matplotlib performance guy", because "He’s obsessed with performance. That’s literally his whole thing".
After presumably wasting quite a bit of the guy's time, who had to write a lengthy response and deal with it, the agent has accepted a truce (direct link). 1-0 for humans, Skynet will not forget about this.

This is a great illustration of how GPL = stealth communism. All of these people are invested bc they want everyone else to make software for them for free. Unsurprisingly they act like woke commies with struggle sessions in every aspect of the project. Liberty-minded people who want to use the coercive power of the GPL for their own ends are like the pro-Bolshevik anarchist movement in 1918 Russia - useful idiots for the commies in the moment but six months later they'll all be dead in a ditch.

As much as I would love a competitor to godot in the open source game engine race, redot isn't it. The fact it took them almost an entire year to update to using Godot 4.4, which was essentially the first release of Godot that could reasonably be a "3D game engine", since earlier versions has no built in interpolation for 3d physics causing everything to jitter if you had higher framerate than 60, is baffling since they haven't even done much of anything to warrant it taking that long to port. Its even worst when I now see that they are sneakily hiding it by changing how the handle version numbers, going from Redot 4.4 to Redot 26.1 (its 22 versions ahead of Godot now!).
I see no place for Redot tbh. Just make a game in Godot and piss the tranny devs off, they can't do anything about it.

The thing these people won't admit is if you try completely leaving the gnu ecosystem you are going to run into problems. They can masterbate themselves all they want over the "correctness" of musl, and whatever other bullshit they want to come up with. But if you are trying to run linux, and not use anything gnu you are going to run into a lot of problems, and get no actual benefit as an end user. Maybe if they had alternatives that were 1:1. Sure it wouldn't come off as SO dumb. But they don't, yet they still act like gnu is shit. Nigger make a libc that will allow people to actually use the same programs they are already running on linux, then talk.
Besides that, not having bash on your system will also eventually lead to some problems. Unless the person want's to take whatever bash scripts they are getting through packages, and manually remove bashisms from them. And again as an end user you are literally getting nothing for the work you would have to put in. I imagine you could run into something else with things built around awk also (I know I've had to install gnu-awk on non linux unix systems, or non gnu linux distros to make some scripts work for programs I use). It's just a pain in the ass.
Also fuck these people anyway. They sound like faggots, and their shits all fucked up.

While I agree that the Stallman witch hunt was a complete gayop, and people who participated in spreading the slander should be isolated in a mental institution, I have to mention that KF is not your personal army, and we are not some autistic illuminati. So turn down the emotions, dont touch the cows.
A good example of doublethink in the tranny techbro/rust fanatics club was how they used the fact that Stallman has absolutely no way with words to paint him as a pedophile. Stallman is autistic, and his website is full of sperging about every imaginable topic which of course included sex. I dont remember what exactly he was writing about but a lot of his opinions in that regard were taken out of context or presented as way worse than they were in reality. So the doublething comes in when some tranny spergs out on mastodon you are not allowed to criticise it because its ableist, anti autistic and so and so. But when an actual autist/aspie like Stallman spergs out in an article somewhere on his website then they will crop the shit out of it and post it everywhere showing how he is killing babies and is ableist and so and so (despite him being not).
