Ladybird. I've been using Helium in the interim, it's a Chromium fork with MV2.What's that new browser that's being developed from the ground up?

I use Brave and Librewolf. How does Helium compare and what's MV3?Ladybird. I've been using Helium in the interim, it's a Chromium fork with MV3.
Helium is another chromium fork with less clutter and distractions. It has ad blocking built in. They still have the arms race with Youtube on blocking ads, so it may start showing ads any given day. I haven't seen any comparison with memory usage compared to Brave Origin, which is why I was interested in it.I use Brave and Librewolf. How does Helium compare and what's MV3?
If Helium doesn't ship with a voice changer for video chat built in, the devs are faggots.Helium is another chromium fork with less clutter and distractions. It has ad blocking built in. Manifest V3 is the latest version of the extensions platform "to improve security, privacy, and performance." according to Google. They limited the amount of ad blocking you can do with v3, so hopefully helium gets around that.

I derped, it has v2 so you can use any adblocking extension you want. I haven't had any problems with Cloudflare at all either.Helium is another chromium fork with less clutter and distractions. You are a lazy faggot. Everything good in life requires work. If you are not willing to put in an incredibly small amount of work to set up your computer, you will not get your desired computing experience. My computer should just work with everything out of the box
It is naive to think that a tranime niggeroid is intelligent enough to do this.just download the source code and compile the old version??? git checkout is a feature on your computer for a reason.
No. There is another, even purer, browser.No. There is another, even purer, browser.

Then it is perfect!!It does, but it can only make your voice comically high-pitched and squeaky.
In the early 2000's I worked at a webhosting shop that installed a FreeBSD server to use as its internal and client-facing backup server, specifically because it was just different enough from Linux to keep the fucking moron support desk/tech people from fucking around with it and breaking backups by accident (and in true Tier 1 tech fashion, none of them were willing to read the documentation to learn enough to screw around with it). Most FreeBSD users seem to be legit oldfags who use it for some specific reason. NetBSD seems to be somewhat similar. Like I'd use FreeBSD from time to time as a single purpose device. It's also really well documented. Even when I was new to it (although not BSD Unix in general) back in the late '90s, I could set up a router/firewall with a simple HOWTO.
Ah, good ol' Windows Server 2004. Fucking assholes. I can't comprehend how Microsoft wasn't sued, anti-trusted, hacked or whatever off the face of the earth for that fucking farse. That was my first real hint there was something fundamentally wrong with this world and incompetence was the norm and to be expected, not the exception to be punished.I used this because Windows at this period of time was such a joke in terms of security you couldn't even have it plugged into your DSL directly without being infected by some bullshit before the install was even finished.
Rust became "unsafe" the moment it added the "unsafe" keyword. It's a crucial mistake it's not a compiler error by default or a warning at minimum during build. You should have to type --im-a-stupid-faggot-who-knows-what-im-doing to successfully compile a Rust program that uses the "unsafe" keyword. You're still lying, but you should at least be forced to type it.So much for "memory safety". Rust advocates can claim safety all they want, but that won't stop retards armed with technology they understand nothing about from shooting themselves in the foot.
No, that would be GTK, which deprecated its X11 backend and plans to remove it in GTK 5. X11 support is native in qtbase and there are no plans or announcements to change that. In fact Wayland support is a separate (optional) module, qtwayland.I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that QT6 is dropping X11 support and going wayland-only. But that's only a guess and would be only part of a debacle.
Yeah I think it's about time people started flinging litigation at these faggots for this shit. Why aren't we (Americans and other sane persons, if any) abusing other nations' more draconian libel/slander/defamation laws to silence this horseshit rhetoric? They literally throw 90 year old grandmothers in prison in Germany for saying something not openly hostile about Adolf Hitler. Isn't accusing someone of being a fucking Nazi a reputation death sentence in the eyes of these draconian eurocuck nations? Why the fuck aren't people hitting back over this shit? It'd only take a few spankings to teach these retards that running their mouths can have consequences. They keep saying that anyway, so why not remind them it applies to them too?Another piece on Omarchy: Normalized Fascism in Open Source: $12 Million Given to DHH (archive)
lol this is just insane enough to almost make me curious enough to try it.https://github.com/nordstjernen-web/nordstjernen-browser 100% vibe coded by claude if you're feeling experimental.
The amount of work required to port all the kde/plasma apps to Wayland presumably means they're going to rely on xwayland to carry the load for them. Gives them a nice oath back if things don't work out, but it also shows how pointless Wayland actually is.They've openly stated it is exclusively X11 session support being removed, and nothing else. All Qt/KDE apps remain compatible with X11.
lmao, surf is a bloated webkit2-gtk slop monster, hardly pure.
They are. XWayland is explicitly mentioned as the mechanism KDE is leaning on to maintain X11 support in their apps. The amount of work required to port all the kde/plasma apps to Wayland presumably means they're going to rely on xwayland to carry the load for them.
No; apparently they're advising people who really want to keep X11 session support to stay on Plasma 6.7 or switch to a fork.Would patching X support back into ksmserver be enough to revert this?
I'm not well versed in web browsers. How exactly is it bloated? And, if not this, then what browser do you use? (Don't say firefox.)lmao, surf is a bloated webkit2-gtk slop monster, hardly pure.
That they allowed it under the suckless domain shows how far they've fallen.
It's relative. Saying a browser is light-weight on the level of say lynx or netsurf (never mind the suckless "branding"), but then just being a poorly written Webkit frontend using GTK+, with millions of lines of (mostly in GTK+'s case) badly written slop, is dishonest.I'm not well versed in web browsers. How exactly is it bloated? And, if not this, then what browser do you use? (Don't say firefox.)
Many components of the Linux desktop are developed by seperate groups of people who have no accountability towards each other. It's a wonder it works as good as it does.No one should care about Wayland or X11, it's all about what's built on top of them, and the more coherent with fewer layers between the program that actually matters and the base the better. It's practically their jobs to not understand this, however.
no one sane gives a fuck about this shit. No one should care
