Leah Rowe decided to post a photo album of their MtF surgery on their blog (warning: NSFL this is not a joke) with the title "I had the balls to do this" and it starts off with perhaps the most fitting image.

From there on, the blog post is numerous images of their sex reassignment and the full process, and ending with:

The /r/drama thread read a lot like Phil's stink ditch threads with countless "what the fuck is this gross shit" replies.
For the love of god don't click this link people

I need eye bleach after the exposed testicles part. :cryblood:

It's a comedy goldmine, and my favorite part is how he talks about a game where the rights to the game were taken by the government and how living under communism just meant they "weren't greedy":

This is the most out-of-touch champagne socialist thing I've read in while. I don't usually do a point-by-point breakdown but just for this one

> The Russian people didn't have a lot because they weren't greedy.
More like chronic mismanagement and centralized planning hurt productivity a lot. See Red Plenty for a (supposedly) authentic view of the attitudes of the times.

> They made their own video games.
A lot of countries did. Russia had its own computer knockoffs, like the Agat which was a Apple II clone. I can't say much about this but I'm not sure what the point of the statement was.

> By capitalist standards they were poor.
They were poor.

> Life expectancy was better in the USSR. Homelessness and unemployment were virtually non-existent.
I was curious about this one. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2546027/?page=1 As far as I can tell the life expectancy was about the same as the US and Europe, about 70 with women naturally living a few years longer on average.
The USSR did make a pledge to have no one homeless, but that comes with having multiple families in one flat. And when you have mathematicians and scientists doing factory jobs for low pay, employment isn't exactly great.

> They had the finest universities in the world.
I really don't think any finer than European and US universities. In particular the US and the UK churned out Nobel Prize winners at an amazing pace.

> They beat the US into space.
I'll leave the Space Race debate for now.

> They invented Tetris.
I don't know why this is seen as a uniquely Russian thing. As if the communist government somehow helped this?

> I believe every human being deserves the same basic standards etc.
Ok, you can believe in universal human rights, but the world needs to become far more productive to achieve 30 hr working days. Free time in particular isn't a human right.

> Even if someone isn't a communist I want to help them.
There is nothing wrong with this, but I strongly disagree with the "communism helps everyone" sentiment. I think this view is more broadly humanist.

> I want peace.
Respectable but idealistic.

> United Federation of Planets
Idk what to even say.

tl;dr idealistic wants by someone who doesn't want to face reality and basic economics.

The whole blog is bloody mental. (Warning: videos of dilating and more communism sperging)
Apparently the hotel right next to the SRS clinic has a retro gaming club. You can't make this shit up.

Leah could probably have her own thread between the old GNU drama, constant attention whoring, and clueless ideological make-believe. The only difficulty would be separating some of the drama from the technical background.

Leah is also a hypocrite. So much for being a freetard when you're using a backdoored compromised chat service.

Credit where it's due to evocateur for straight up saying 'I should've stomped this shit out WELL before now, and the resulting mess was my fault'.

Personal responsibility is such a microaggression nowadays, it's refreshing to see someone say 'I fucked this up, I'm fixing it, and I'm not letting it happen again.'

Python just defeated racism:
Avoid master/slave terms #9101

The author is a real expert on the English language:

  • Replace "master process" with "parent process"
  • Replace "master option mappings" with "main option mappings"
  • Replace "master pattern object" with "main pattern object"
  • ssl: replace "master" with "server"
  • And some other similar changes

It's not even fucking consistent. One word being used four times has been replaced with three different words with three different meanings.

And in the SSL/TLS case, dangerously overloaded. The master secret is the shared secret generated from the keying material established by the key exchange. The client and server both generate their own secrets from the master secret, so the "server key" refers to the secret the server uses to bulk encrypt data.

Helped, no. But they sure as fuck ganked the rights immediately. A similar situation to Kalashnikov, the premier Soviet gunsmith. The tetris dev eventually saw royalties after the USSR dissolved, tho. Kalashnikov went to the grave a poor man.
Don't forget how the other tetris dev also ended up poor and ended up murder-suiciding his family.

I'm so glad Python changed something that worked with other stuff in order to get woke. Then again, considering who uses python (kids, macbook owning dangerhairs who couldn't learn C) it makes sense.

The r/python post basically sums up everything that could be said: joke about BDSM shaming, irony of merging into master branch, child processes being killed, misinterpreting language. In particular I'm disappointed with Guido because it's clear he didn't really step down from his role as BDFL. For those who missed it, he stepped down after the community flak he got for supporting PEP 572.

Just replace slave with child soldier.

I was wondering when they started ragging on male/female connectors, but then i learned that cable gender can be fluid.

Without making the taxpayer shell out for a castration/designer-kielbasa which will cause suicide at the ripe old age of 35 anyway

Oh shit, I didn't even think of that. That's a great example.

The best example I thought up was daemon, which might offend Christians. (Not that Silicon Valley dipshits care about Christians, but it's at least a place to start.)

They're gonna want to rename receptacles and plugs, bottoms and tops.
