Ever since their CEO was forced out forced out for "harassing" a female engineer, despite there being no proof that any harassment took place, they've been on a slow spiral into absurd social justice pandering. The first obvious sign of it was when the same engineer spearheaded a campaign to remove the "meritocracy rug" Github had in their headquarters lobby. Apparently meritocracy is anti-feminist. It's been steadily ramping up since then.

I've met the guy and knew some level-headed staff at GH at the time; the general consensus was that he'd done inappropriate things with/to staff, but the sexual nature of it and his intent remains unclear. I've heard that he was just trying to cheat on his wife and that the staff was into it until he decided not to cheat on his wife anymore, but either way no one was surprised that he was ousted.

Business majors who end up in tech are the worst of the worst, and there's plenty of those outsourcing to Pajeets thinking they saved a buck until they learned what monstrosities they have created later down the line. It's all the same opportunistic networking, résumé padding bs and that's never changed. Plenty of them just ride the social justice hype for a career alone.

I don't mind tracker music but trackers do have a purpose, especially if you're making video games or making music with a sound chip as a lead/background synth. Also Deus Ex used tracker music for the soundtrack. Then again anyone who calls themselves a "chiptune musician" as opposed to a composer is either pigeonholing themselves or isn't that good at making music. 80s-90s music didn't use a DX7 as a sole instrument and plenty of arcade games always paired the FM chip with another chip for drums and samples to create a fuller sound.

Tearing apart computers for the sound chip is another thing. It's not uncommon for eBay Commodore 64 computers to be missing the SID chip so that some kid can use it to make his new chiptune album. That has pissed off a fair few number of computer collectors.
