Opera recently put out an advertisement for their browser, OperaGX, called "Bury Boring" featuring Eric Andre
To make more people watch the advertisement people over at Opera decided that it would be a great idea to make this appear whenever you open Opera

Some people found it funny at first until they realised that they CAN'T TURN IT OFF.

What an unbelievably retarded campaign. I don't know if they have different distributions for language/region but imagine you're pajeet shit in the street and you use opera GX because you're super cool Indian gamer and something like a random malware pops up on your screen, you'd lose your shit and think you got a virus. You don't know who the fuck Eric Andre is you only know Rishi Pandalamabandawanadan

I have the same reaction to finding out that people use Opera as when I find out that there are still McAfee users out there.
To be fair, they make it seem like it's hardwired into your computer.

My dad had one of those big iMac desktops and the McAfee resubscription window was permanently plastered on the desktop and kept making his other windows minimize. He never figured out how to get rid of it.

He's never used a home PC since.
