I can tell you some orcs I don't like: the ones from warhammer 40k.

You wonder how a bunch of dumb green fuckers with chimp-like intelligence are going to be able to compete against heavily militarized space faring civilizations and freaking demons, and the answer is "Uh...they have some collective psychic powers that make things work that shouldn't work! It just kind of manifests their will!". I mean, jesus, just leave out the orcs then. Tyranids are already stretching it.

My very first D&D character was an orc barbarian.

Also - Female orcs are based.

But modern medical science has proven that if you're a girl and like literally anything except dressing in all pink and playing pretty princess characters it means you're actually a dude. Sorry you had to find out like this...

I mean, what I can say - I just like the idea that there's race of basically football hooligans running amok in Grim Darkness of Dark Grimness. 40k background fluff isn't something I'd take seriously, since it's just a way to GW sell more (and newer!) minis and rake in some extra dosh on selling books for the nerds. And overall written horribly.

I love the entire Saurfamily. And I have indulged by writing my favourite facts about each.

Varok Saurfang, who lived a life of suicidal level guilt, first for his actions during the blood madness, slaughtering draenei women and children. Later for his own longevity, where all his comrades would have honorable and glorious deaths in battle, he was forced to outlive them and live with himself, unable to find an opponent mighty enough to kill him.

Broxigar the Red, brother of Saurfang, who was sent back in time to fight in the war of the ancients, between demons and demigods of nature. While the portal to the realm of sargeras was being sealed, he held the line within the portal weilding the Axe of Cenarius. Killing so many demons that Sargeras' (wow Satan) attention was drawn and he had to Broxigar himself. Broxigars final swing of his axe left a lone scar upon sargeras, the only would he'd received from a mortal.

Original chosen successor to the title of warchief groomed by Thrall, the only son of High Overlord Varok Saurfang and he lead the Horde expedition into Northrend against the Lich King. He was slain in battle by the hand of the Lich King himself and raised as a death knight to guard the door of his Inner citadel.

Including the lesser known Thura who is the successor to the Axe of Cenarius, she was last seen being trained by the wildgods and night elf druids to take up the legendary axe.

They are especially cool because of the axe technique which is uniquely their families which was might enough to injure Sargeras, it was however defeated by the Lich King and the mighty runeblade Frostmourne after cutting down countless of his undead servants.

Best family in WoW, Best Orcs, top 10 fantasy character, dont @ me.

The only faction I completed the Dawn of War 2: Retribution campaign with. You got to love an Ork who does what he says he'll do; take on a massive chaos incursion because he wanted Inquisitor Adrastia's hat.

After the defeat of Chaos' forces in the sub-sector, Bluddflagg went after Adrastia, but instead of killing her, he merely tossed her aside -- after taking her hat for his own.
