He wasn't in a sphere, he was working at the base. And putting him back into the box and taking him back out fixed it. I'd heard about a bug with picking up Sekhmet but I guess if you grab a pal during just the right moment while they're working they can glitch.
 
Which one is the Pikachu clone with the first tower's boss (Zoe or something, I fucking suck at names?) riding on its shoulder that always has that shit-eating menacing grin on his face? That one cracks me up every time I see it, even though it's not particularly helpful at bases.

Oi, Grizzbolt is great for bases solely because he’s the best Power Generation Pal you can easily get without breeding or access to Orserk.

Also Grizzbolt gets a minigun when you ride him, and by default that’s amazing with his shit eating grin.

Grizzbolt has decent handling stats i like him for energy and building purposes.

It's a toss up for me between mining animations and cooling animations. Everyone looks so god damned bored when they have to sit there and cool stuff off that it kills me. And the mining... there is SO much personality in the mining, whether it's Depresso not giving a FUUUUUCK or Sekhmet's "TEE HEE I'M JUST A SILLY GIRL" animation.

Sleeping animations, both alone and with the player, also have some fun variety. Hell, most base animations do.
