Patrick Sean Tomlinson / @stealthygeek / "Torque Wheeler" / @RealAutomanic / Kempesh / Padawan v2.5 - "Conservative" sci-fi author with TDS, armed "drunk with anger management issues" and terminated parental rights, actual tough guy, obese, paid Quasi, paid thousands to be repeatedly unbanned from Twitter

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm not sure how Patrick doesn't realize this but eventually twitter, instead of doing wack a mole with the trolls, is just going to ban his account again.

If companies like twitter actually gave a shit about their users mental health, people like Patrick would have been banned long ago because he clearly cannot handle social media.
He'll immediately ban evade while threatening to pay another 10,000 dollars to a lawyer to get unbanned.

Not banned child, never banned.

So, I have an early present for all of you.

Pat's Nielsen BookScan sales numbers.

Wew lad are they bad.

The Ark: 2,631
Trident's Forge: 1,087
Children of the Divide: 530
Gate Crashers: 970
Starship Repo: 526
In the Black: 231

No wonder nobody has ever seen his books in stores. With sales that bad, his publishers might as well have set his advance on fire.

Social media primarily exists to collect your data and sell it to corporate and government interests. Fat Rick, for example, is probably worth his weight in Alcoholics Anonymous ads.

This would actually be a YUGE revelation, one we've been waiting for for years. I'm guessing your job gives you access to those numbers? Is there anyway you can provide any type of screenshot from wherever you go that info?

Fatrick has always sworn that his sales numbers are great and he's even said on multiple occasions that we would never know what his sales figures were. With those sales numbers it has to have costed them more money to print and ship those pieces of shit than they ever made back on their investment in Pat, right?

Oh wow every one of my novels has sold better than every one of his and I just put mine up on Amazon by myself with no publisher support and without 41K twitter followers? HAHAHAHAHA.

EDIT: Also, "In the Black" more like "In the Red" amirite?

He has huge sales numbers, and you don't need to see them. Why? Because he never lies, child. Especially about being fat.

Without giving too much away - I work as a member of the editorial staff at one of the big fives' spec fiction imprints.

BookScan memberships are able to be purchased by anyone, they're just expensive. Anyone can get one, if they want to independently verify.

As for your last question, oh my no, no way in hell with numbers like that has Pat ever seen a royalty check. Numbers that bad means he's bleeding money.

I have gone into exhaustive detail on the YA Books and Lindsay Ellis threads - feel free to look for the long version - but the main things that determine if a book makes or loses money are sales, circulation, and size of the advance.

Fuck math though. Numbers that low, you don't need a formula to know they're not selling... especially when I know from experience that there are books that sell dozens of times any of Pats whose books lose the publisher money.

Just look at the list of Hugo nominees over on the Ellis thread for examples.

So threatening hundreds of people with rape over twitter isn't a good strategy for selling books? Interesting if true.

Pat uploaded more photos from his DC trip, only one with him in the picture.

Wonder if he managed to get a hold of the Biden Justice Department to help him with those dastardly trolls. Yes, he actually said he planned to do that in the Apostlegate recordings.

This is a man in his forties btw.

What's funny is not long after made that abortion a user from OnA forums tried to make their own beef wellington for the first time and it turned out like it's supposed to.
I've probably posted this a million times, but Cowboy Kent, one of the best YouTube chefs, has the perfect recipe for it:

Highlight of a day earlier this year was when he responded to a Youtube comment I left and we had a great discussion about another recipe, dude's smart as hell

Meaning the publisher lost money, or is Patrick personally on the hook for the difference?

Publisher.

My guess? Standard 3 book contract, and was shown the door.

Not uncommon... the majority of authors lose money for the publisher. Pat isn't the first... but fuck if those numbers still aren't exceptionally bad.

I'll note that like Cuck Wendigo, this guy probably actually does produce lots of words. That's why they hire him.

Are these his all time numbers? He's really fat at this. How accurate are they? And how much would he get per sale, assuming it didn't get swallowed up in paying back the advance?

Why exactly would the SFWA be squandering money on lolsuits by this guy that involve frivolous lolsuits about defamation where this dude has openly admitted to being completely guilty of every single thing he's suing about?

Who in the SFWA is stealing this money to squander it on these lolsuits?

Have you imbeciles considered not giving free money to these idiots?

You're apparently smart enough to write for money. Are you smart enough to contemplate where your money is going?

Without knowing anything on this subject I presume they hand out 3 book deals to anybody, expecting to lose the advance - on the off chance one makes it big?
