Patrick Sean Tomlinson / @stealthygeek / "Torque Wheeler" / @RealAutomanic / Kempesh / Padawan v2.5 - "Conservative" sci-fi author with TDS, armed "drunk with anger management issues" and terminated parental rights, actual tough guy, obese, paid Quasi, paid thousands to be repeatedly unbanned from Twitter

Pat's twitter was a real hoot today. I encourage anyone who enjoys the nonsense to check it out: Here

But first there's some news, another con is in the works. I'm sure this one wont end up like Worldcon2021.

Pat is still battling in the 50 person hell thread. Well, it's 47 people now, three of the socialists have actually deleted their twitter accounts to get away from the madness.

Pat's literary agent joined twitter.

I was certain that he dropped Pat as a client, but apparently not. He immediately went to work in trying to help Pat get more royalties from Tor books.

Andrew then started to tweet at every book publisher on twitter to get Pat another contract (Pat hasn't had one in years).

So yeah, 2022 is going great.

Given your living situation Pat you may want to try your luck with wringing a few more pennies out of Tor. You’re gonna need it soon.

I can see why Scalzi speaks so glowingly of Tor given they gave him a ridiculously bloated contract far greater than the value of his work.

I’m at a loss to explain how Tor can throw so much money around. The returns can’t be that big, surely.

Someone over on the other forums had a closer look at Pat's TOR editor Chris Morgan and found something pretty funny about Pat's TOR book covers (credit to some redditor named TonyTwoBeers).

Prior to the release of 'Gate Crashers', TOR sent out advance copies to try and get some positive lines to put on the cover of Pat's book. Pat also offered advance copies on his blog:

Max Gladstone, who wrote something called the 'Craft Sequence' gave them what they needed:

"Taut, funny, and human, Gate Crashers takes us from zero to FTL in seconds flat."

For some reason this quote didn't make it on the front or back cover of Gate Crashers:

They did end up using it though, on Pat's next TOR failure, Starship Repo. Real pity that Max used the 'Gate Crashers' title in his quote, because it really makes TOR look lazy by putting it on the cover of the wrong book.

They also did this for 'In the Black' two years later.

Another embarrassing detail was found, TOR didn't use any real artists, they used Shutterstock images.

This really makes Tor look retarded if anything.

I mean his shuttershock covers are better than his cover for The Ark

but yeah this is why his ships don’t get featured on the cover of his books. They are ugly dildos.

All of his covers are lame and generic, but that one in particular reminds me of the awful romance sci-fi novels that contaminate my audiobook piracy sites.

It's nice to finally have my suspicions confirmed as to why so many low-tier sci-fi novels all have the same garbage cover art. Really gives you an idea how much faith they have in authors like Rick to make bank for them, when they won't even drop $100 on a jobbing artist to pump out some basic space shit.

If you wanna save money, just go for something abstract and minimalist with strong typesetting, like the bonkers old covers we used to get:

I'M TED THE LITERARY AGENT

Pat is still working on his dumb 'A Christmas Carol' ripoff.

Even Pat's agent can hardly believe that Pat would waste his time on such a dumbass story.

Pat is thirsty.

Someone over on the other forums found a series of tweets where Pat bragged about having a verified check on twitter.
