Gonna try not to get too autistic about this. So Patty isn't completely wrong he's just like 95% wrong. In no particular order.

Yes, suppressor is a more accurate term but all the patents going back to the early 1900s and all the regulations in the US call it a silencer. Does it really matter? no. Silencer or suppressor everyone will know what you're talking about and anything else is pointless semantics.

His quick math about decibels is complete bullshit. There's so much that goes into it his calculations are straight made up. Without knowing the Caliber of the round, the barrel length of the gun, the brand of ammo, and the exact model of silencer there's no way to know the exact decibels or even guess. And don't even bring up the argument about decibels vs sound wave.

There are plenty of legitimate reason for hunters to use silencers. Maybe you're just being extra protective of your hearing as ear protection can't completely block the sound or you just already have hearing damage. Maybe you're just being considerate to other hunters or hikers in the area who might not have hearing protection on when you shoot.

Silencers effecting ballistics is video game bullshit

Stopping power is bullshit

Over on the forums it's called 'Bad Friend Stock' and they highlight some of Pat's more vocal followers. It's pretty much exactly who you'd think based on his tweets. Trannies, gay nerds, and old cunts. The one that really stuck with me is this woman @Mr Moonface found who makes grotesque taxidermy out of people's pet's, allegedly. Some were speculating she may have been buying mice and gerbils from pet stores because there were way too fucking many of them. No way are that many people contacting someone to have their dead hamster taxidermied dressed like a little Elvis Presley. Mr Moonface can you post any of those pics if you still have them? I'm sure people here would appreciate how fucking weird that shit was, and the woman was a Fatrick fan

So he's mad that what's his face has a silencer on a gun he's shooting for fun? Silencers are good for helping to protect against hearing damage as Fatty mentioned in his opening, so what's his issue? As for the tax and cost shit, I agree, stop taxing useful gun parts and making them harder to acquire, silencers should be more common.

Like if The Ark or That stupid gate book were the first scifi book a kid read I wouldn’t discredit them for liking it because it was boiler plate schlock that anyone can like initially. Hell I like the Resident Evil and Doom books even if they go way past the narrative of the game story or aren’t actually really that good. But fuck me if a grown human can read his shit and get anything but at most forgettable tripe from his best effort. Because you can’t. Hell I read five of his books and the only character I can name accurately is Firstname Lastname because its so lame. I cannot even name his Donald Trump allegory accurately.

Oh he was SO pleased with himself he put the damn shit in his promo material. He was like ‘I’m so slick I have a character name everyone will remember and this will be my magnum opus!’ Only it wasn’t because the character was one dimensional and the story was shit.

He's being a BAD HUNTER by making his gun bad (he's not) and a BAD PERSON by spending money rather than putting in some foamies (he's also not). That's the point anyway.
