Well for starters. Fins work on these things call convection and conduction which isn't going to work well in space because well there's no air in space, that maybe a shocker for that guy. In space we use radiator fins that lie flat... Almost...almost like panels. Why? Because radiation works really well in space because it doesn't give a damn, so if you have a large area you can use that to radiate heat.

You can. While you can't use it all, you can use some of that heat similar to the way the nuclear batteries on the Mars Rover and other drones being sent into space work. Such batteries are radiative thermoelectric batteries. You can use that energy to power miscellaneous things like lighting, consoles, and other instruments so your dedicated generators only give power to your thrusters.
