I'm curious about something. What are the religious beliefs of some of the users on the CWCki forums? I don't hope to start a controversy or a flame war or anything. I just want to see what people have to say on that matter.

Please state:
1. Your professed faith (I.E, Protestantism, Hinduism, Ibadism, Dudeism, etc)
2.. Anything else you want to say about that.

Personally, I am an agnostic atheist. I don't really have anything else to say besides that.

Just as a rule of thumb, don't criticize or deride other people's professed faiths and don't be preachy about your own. Again, I don't intend to stir up controversy.

Anglican I guess, but I don't really go to church.

1. Your professed faith: I'm an atheist, so I don't have one
2.. Anything else you want to say about that.: I don't really have much to say about it. I wasn't raised by particularly religious parents, and I didn't know what Christianity actually was until I was much older. I was aware about concepts like "God" and "Sin" and "Heaven" and "Hell" but I really never believed in those things.

Actually in terms of religions the one I've found the most interesting is Buddhism. Mostly because there's no punishment for not believing in it, and it's all about self improvement and self awareness. If I ever do get more religious as I get older, I think I'd quicker become a Buddhist than anything else.

Now if this was suppose to be a more in-depth look, then hey, I'll give off my more personal practices:
I'm a born-again Christian since 05 or 06. Went the sperging phase where I thought I knew the Bible but didn't really come off as a holier-than-though-fool (My creationist belief would cover that). I use to identify as Baptist but know I'm non-denominational. I do believe in an Afterlife but in regards to that, there could be more to it than we know (example: For all we know, Hell for humans could be either a cessation of existence or just eternal loneliness..I could be wrong though). I do doubt my own beliefs in more that "how do I know the path I follow isn't one of corrupt men". Really, I just feel like putting it in God's hands in regards to beliefs. Within the realms of homosexuality, I am bound to seeing marriage as between a man and a woman but outside of that, I feel that if you and your partner truly love each other, than go ahead and marry. Just know the consequences. Also, as much as I am a Christian, I do believe we should choose what to follow but I also believe should know what the consequences are, even if we try to ignore them and what not. You can call me a fool if you wish in regards to my beliefs (I say that because eh, I do feel my beliefs can be stupid in the eyes of someone, regardless of that person's personal beliefs).

Scientology all the way, baby.

But really, I'm an atheist. Fairly ironic, considering I go to a Christian high school.

Hey, same here. Catholic from elementary to my senior year in High school. Strange how those things work out.

As I've mentioned in chat before, I'm a Mormon, or as we prefer to be called LDS.

Mormons are Christians but we vary on different things. For one we've got an entirely different set of scriptures along with the Bible: The Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. We can't drink hot caffeinated beverages or alcohol because of the word of wisdom, which is a doctrine that promotes healthy eating habits. At the age of 19 men and women in the church are encouraged to go on a Mission to another country, either by spreading the gospel or providing service.
We don't believe in Polygamy, dispite what you've probably heard.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Do you wear the magic underwear?

I share your distaste for caffeine and alcohol. Those things are bad for the mind and the body among other things.

I was raised as a Catholic, but I stopped going to church years ago and nowadays I am more of an agnostic. Maybe there is a God, and maybe there is an afterlife. I am not sure what to believe though, so I just try to live my life the best way I can.

Ásatrú (Norse Heathenism in simple terms).
I generally keep it to myself though, especially living with hardcore Christian folk, but I'm quite happy with it and find to be a swell belief and practice.
I am actually surprised about the number of Heathens we have on the board.

I don't really have one. I don't follow a religion anymore because my view of them has soured considerably (and I'm leaving it at that).

Soooo... I guess Deisim would be the closest to what I am? I wouldn't say atheist, but I certainly don't follow any of the religions.

All I do is try to live with what I was given and put my talents to use. I think that's the best way you can "worship" anything, personally. No going to church, no praying. Just living the best life I can with whatever gifts I was granted.

All comes down to purpose. Depending on what you want, caffeine is absolutely good for the mind. It's really great for computer programming.

I don't know about alcohol and the mind. I guess sometimes I want to silence my mind, and just fucking do something. Y'know? It's depressing to spend your time obsessing over every little detail. Obsessing until you're frozen with inaction. Alcohol helps me make decisions. So I guess would say that alcohol is more good for the soul than the mind.

As the talmud teaches us, drink until you can't tell the difference between your curses and your blessings.

I have no real religious beliefs to speak of, in the sense that I have never belonged to any organized religion. My parents seldom brought up matters such as God's existence and stuff like that, so I had to come to my own conclusions about God's role in the universe. If anything, I believe that there is a God or deity out there, but he leaves us to our own devices.

Whenever people ask me about my religion, I just say "agnostic", even though it is closer to "deist", just to keep things simple, as I hate having to give complicated explanations. I just try to be a good person and hope for the best.
