I've been fucking around with Leaf Green and Crystal Clear since the lockdown started, and I don't know how the fuck I was able to play these games without emulator speedups. Makes the games approximately 10,000% more fun.

I am starting to wonder if people genuinely even like the series anymore. You have all those who cry about the series never being good yet come back every time a new game gets announced,
Same honestly. Despite the franchise's faults, I can say that I enjoy the series as much as I did when I was younger and after I got into the ROM hacks & Fan Games, I even enjoy the community side of things (for the most part).

Speed ups on emulators can be a godsend especially on JRPGS since text crawls were varied in speed back then. most of the older games were fine with text speed from my recollection aside from Gen 4, the GBA games are surprisingly snappy all things considered.

Are you sure you aren't just spending too much time on /vp/? I know I'm not exactly Mr. positive when it comes to this series but that place is a containment board for a reason. As with most things, use it in moderation

yeah the Rom Hacks more interesting to me since they moreso have to fuck around with the code to get shit working. Not to knock stuff like say Uranium, but clover is still a technical marvel to me and that was just made by a bunch of autists in their free time.

It's like "Stockholm Syndrome" for fans, but autists have a hard time restraining themselves from impulsively buying shit they don't like just because it has the Pokémon seal on it. Whining about everything not being good anymore while simultaneously picking it up just to bitch at is just exceptional, I don't get people who do that.

For me, personally, I just stick to what I like at this point after these disappointments. Merchandise I only buy of Pokémon I like since no matter what generation they're from the money's still going to them to continue their fuck-ups and I still like the plushies and accessories. I pirate the anime anyway unless I like the season(s)/movie(s) enough to buy the DVDs (which Viz are real lazy about), so whatever goes on there I don't care for at the moment. Games are most likely going to be for spin-offs only at this point (nothing mobile). I use adblock anyway so no Pokémon site's making ad revenue off of me.

I still have enough good memories to not abandon the franchise, I just know my limits of what I like and ignore the rest of it.

So Pokemon is like The Simpsons?

(I pretty much lost interest after Gen 4. All the 'mons from Gen 5 and on have this odd feel to them to me. Although I like 6 because of the remake of Gen 3. Gen 7+ is "uncharted territory.")

the one with lower speed.
It's highly unlikely, but what if both have the same Speed stat?

(I looked up their base Speed stats and they're the same.)

A new episode of Pokemon: Twilight Wings aired featuring Best Girl Nessa:

Oh, and Sonia shows up too:
