Well, my sis turned this painting down, I tried to fix it up a bit but it just wasn't enough.

Painting toddlers is too challenging as it is. I'm thinking of ditching it in the trash tomorrow, but maybe a few honest opinions here may help me decide. I just don't really want to see it again.

Honest opinion: they do look a bit deformed (but paintwork and everything are very nice), but you can make a fortune by selling this thing as haunted. Put on that coating that creates craquelure effect, rub in some dirt, leave it in the sun for a bit so it'd fade, and voila, "haunted" painting.

Interesting, too bad I already gave it a gloss varnish though.

Well, it's probably possible to remove it, and even if bits and pieces get damaged in process, that'd only add to the "authencity" later.
I'll think of something. Either try to strip it away with whatever I need or just throw dirt on it.

EDIT: Hell maybe I could make it like a Francis Bacon sort of thing.

I don't know why but the girl in the painting kind of reminds me of the one from the Grinch cartoon. It's probably the hair.
Probably. Someone always goes for that goofy hair bit on little girls.
