It does appear that Pride Month has been weakening over the last years, as if it was dying a quiet death.

I wonder if it's foreshadowing things to come...
 
Today, after dropping the little ones off at school, I've noticed something. It was peculiar, especially since I live in a pretty liberal area.

I haven't seen that many pride flags in my area. I only saw one at the Loblaws so far, but I haven't seen anymore since. At most, I'm seeing cupcakes with rainbow frosting or the odd rainbow keychain charm being sold.

Normally, I’d be seeing rainbows all over the place at this time of year. Pride March got cancelled due to a lack of local interest, and the Christian owned businesses appear to be busier than ever.

I’m not going to say that there's a “backlash” perse, but there's some burn out for sure.
