Quora - Yahoo answers Younger, more autistic cousin

Why is it that Ayn Rand gets so much hate? Are the Communists that mad that she left the Soviet Union and talked trash about Communism?
She's kind of cringe even in right wing circles. Her dismissive (and sometimes outright hostile) attitude towards a unified society and culture exemplifies the negative aspects of Jewish Conservatism that most ethnic or religious conservatives find bizarre.

Well, I'll keep that in mind. After I'm done with Albert Speer's prison diary and Ben Franklin's autobiography though, I'm putting some of her works on the list though, just to see what the fuss is about.

Atlas Shrugged has an interesting message and I think that's her most famous book, but if you want to see why people disagree with her you'll probably want to delve into her essays and other writing. The only trouble is she's very dry and not a great writer for someone trying to make fiction books.

Nothing I'm unfamiliar with. I read Masters of Deceit by J. Edgar Hoover and that was the most dull thing I ever read.

That "interesting" messages are Great Man Theory, Nietzschean Elitism and Ethical Egoism, which are shit.

Rand's shitty attitude and hypocrisy aside, I want to answer you with a question, why is everyone who critises libertarianism a socialist by default?
The only reason why Rand is so relevant is for sucking up to the Yuppie Generation and Reagan fanboys, morally justifying the shit they believed.

The idea I was talking about was opening up a dialogue about producers vs consumers in society. Whether you agree the capital class are necessary producers or not (I don't think they are), there are some segments of society who, if they disengaged from the economic system in a protest, would be begged to return.

One of the funniest things on Quora is the incredibly fake sex stories clearly written by horny teenagers to get off.

Literally, search anything related to "anonymous", "secret", "teenage secret" and click a question.

Sometimes these questions start out fairly casual and then completely break-out into these crazy, hilariously-unrealistic tangents of highly erotic fiction that only a porn-addicted teenage virgin could write.

Then in the comment section you have a few grown men enjoying themselves to some teen sex fiction story:

Second example is this Indian kid who wrote this extremely long story about how he supposedly had a sexual encounter with his female english teacher, but his broken english and severely flawed understanding on how to write a realistic story end up making this hilarious.

So his "female english teacher" notices him having a bulge and literally starts touching him in the middle of class with no warning or escalation...?

Wish I'd saved it but at some point I read a history teacher answer a question about the hypothetical British intervention in the US Civil War and say that in 1860 we were the biggest superpower, strongest in the world in all areas, and could've invaded Europe and won hand over fist. I like my country, but that really put the exceptional in American exceptionalism.

"History teacher" as in "some guy the Rednecktown school district found to teach history but they mostly just hired him to be the football coach?"

I stopped using that bullshit site after my answers were usually "collapsed" or "hidden" from public viewing. Was being truthful too much for those cucked users so they had to downvote me? I had actually found more "help" sometimes looking at the downvoted answers because sometimes there was lot more "truth" to them (although there was also lots of nonsensical garbage you'll find). As expected, answers become more opinionated and patronizing the more "controversial" the topic.

I hate being recommended Quora almost every time I search something up. It's like Yahoo Answers but filled with way more condescending, overbearing, pseudo-intellectual assholes who act like they know a lot but are just as biased and ignorant as anyone else.

EDIT: Tbh, quite a few users could have stand alone threads here with all the fan fiction and shit they write.

This reads like something straight out of Wattpad or AO3, complete with the unrealistic scenarios and terrible dialog.

I'd have to go back and find the story, but I saw one about their first encounter, involving them turning 18 and their "older, hot teacher".
