I have no idea if this is the right thread for this or not, and feel free to move or delete it if it isn't, but...

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/actor-robin-williams-dead-63/story?id=24937522

Robin Williams died today. They found him dead in his home. And it looks like suicide.

I don't know about everyone else, but this guy was a major part of my childhood. I saw a ton of movies when I was a kid and loved them, and even managed to see some of his stand-up once I was older. He was an awesome entertainer and it sucks hard that he's not around anymore.

Anyone else want to share?

I'm still in shock. I never thought he of all people would commit suicide. Mrs. Doubtfire is my favorite movie; I think I'll watch it tomorrow.

It's a shame really. He was very good at making people laugh, but was also just as good at making people cry. RIP

I feel this might be the best way to sum up how some people (such as anyone here) could feel upon hearing about this:

It's sudden though I'm not that surprised, yet it still shocks me. It was known that he had serious depression and because of that had battled alcoholism, pill addiction and cocaine addiction at points in his life. He was very good at keeping his problems under wraps and being the funny guy he was. It's still sad as fuck though. :( I feel bad for his children.

I heard 20 minutes ago in this chat I hang out in... He was a really funny guy and it's hard to believe this has happened.

He made a lot of movies I didn't like, but he had a few I really enjoyed. Hook is one of my favorite movies. Also:

I love Mrs. Doubtfire and I remember going to see Flubber when it came out. I hated everything about Flubber except Robin Williams's character. He was great.

I'm legit really bummed out he's dead. Most celebrity deaths are ones where I feel sad for a moment and move on but even coming back to this thread and reading it, it's still sad.

Shocking, this is the first I heard of it.

I'm not going to pretend I "knew" anything about his personality, but other comics always seemed to refer to him as someone that had it together. That he'd done these epically huge box office films but still remained a normal person.

I really wish news websites wouldn't post tweets of famous people saying mundane things in stories like this though. I'm staggered to read about this and I don't think it adds much to know that Ellen Degeneres says "RIP Robin, I am sad :( ." It's just so banal. I want someone to read fucking Dylan Thomas to me, I want poets and brooding Russian scholars, not "Alec Baldwin tweeted a frownie in response to the news."

If only Ellen Degenerates had talent like good ol' Robin.
I wonder how the Zelda Community and Zelda are handling this.
