I don't know what surprises me more, the fact that they think South Park is still relevant, or that they lack the common sense to understand that South Park makes fun of most mainstream politicians regardless of affiliation. Why do they think Shaved Orangutan would be an exception? He's practically a South Park character in real life, and I'm not even the first person to make that observation.

Many of them are young dipshits who don't even remember the Internet when it was still mostly military, academic and a few of the largest corporations. That's how far back "net neutrality" goes, back to before there was even a name for it.

There are certainly always going to be issues with things like congestion that force prioritizing traffic in certain ways, but deliberately degrading service specifically to disadvantage economic competitors on a resource largely paid for with public money isn't something that was ever intended. That's effectively censorship, and something the Internet was designed to treat as damage and route around.
